    Re: Soundcraft EFX8

You probably don't need a schematic - you have several other Mic inputs that work, right?

Compare the circuitry between the bad inputs and the working ones. Do they supply power to the mic? if so, check voltages.

Try playing a constant sound into the mic, trace the signal through each input, compare with oscilloscope etc

The FX part is on a separate board, but the analog circuitry is virtually identical to the EPM mixers.

          Hey coolaudio

Check your input op-amp ic's ,some use two inputs on one ic (4558 or 4560) but if they single input per ic ,it should be easy to replace (smd or dip).plug a signal generator into the mic @ 0.150mv 1khz and probe pin 1 and pin 7.

Let me know what you have found ?

How not to Damage an Oscilloscope
            by Tarot Superstars
            Hello.
I have jut got my first analogue oscilloscope. An Isotech 620 20MHz.

I want to learn how not to damage it, and I found instructions on the internet obscure.
They talk about ground, earth, floating ground, this, that....
But they don't actually say anything anything useful so far.

            I want to know:
Don't connect exactly this to exactly there or it blows up.

For example, I am tracing a signal from a function generator in an audio amp, or testing for voltages in different parts of a circuit.
I want to know what not to connect...

            Dynamco analogue oscilloscope
            by Evets
I have recently acquired a Dynamco D7100 analogue oscilloscope without a user manual. As this is the first time I have owned or used an oscilloscope I would like to try and find an instruction book. The manufacturers no longer hold any information and a Google search only found one site but when I downloaded a 'service manual' all I got was gobbledegook. Any help would be gratefully appreciated or even pointers to a generic manual where I could learn more.

            Anthem MRX500 - no sound

            Dear Electronics Experts:

I have the following problem I am trying to troubleshoot. Unfortunately, I have contacted Anthem themselves and even a local distributer but I am not having much luck. Also, I have scoured the internet and unable to obtain a service manual. The Anthem service rep has also replied that he is unable to provide me with any service documentation. I have performed numerous searches on the internet and cross-referenced a few other AV receiver makers (Denon, Marantz, Onkyo) and found certain similarities to block diagram...

[FIXED] XFX Core Edition Pro 450W ticking noise
            by ntoskrnl
My XFX Core Edition Pro 450W power supply started making a weird ticking noise some time ago. Eventually, I figured out what the issue was, and managed to fix it. I purchased this unit back in 2012, so it's an old model, but I'm still posting this in case someone finds it helpful or interesting.

            THE PROBLEM
The power supply started making an irregular ticking noise when running, but would otherwise work perfectly fine. The issue would sometimes come and go. A Google search for "xfx core ticking" found multiple other people reporting the same issue, so I assume this...
