    RockFord Fosgate P300-1

Hello Badcaps.com community. im new here but in need of some help/advice. I have a rockford P300-1 amp that will not work right. whenever i power it up, it powers up just fine. just when i plug in any subwoofer it starts flashing protect on and off rapidly. i know the subs aren't the problem because they work fine on my other amplifiers and the wiring is correct because both my amps work fine on the same wiring. The only thing iv seem inside the amp that might be bad is the 2 main capacitors. i can push on the top of them and almost feels like there's a small amount of air trapped in them. the caps in question are lelon 3300uf 50V caps. Any help is greatly appreciated!

check the transistors with the red and blue ink for shorts/leakage.
if you can push down the plastic on the caps they are ok.

What would leakage look like? Does it sort of look oily?

i pulled off the little cover for the red and blue ink transistor and there seems to be alot of an oily substance between the little metal piece and the transistor. so what does this exactly mean?

it helps to transfer the heat(thermal compound)

          better take the
          amp to someone,
          who deals
          with those
          issues daily
          (amp repair guy)

            thermal compound can br oily.
            i meant electrically leaky.
look for dc on the speaker leads too.
those amps are really easy to fix.
i just got 4 or 5 in a deal.make sure you dont get china counterfeit transistors or it will just blow up again!

So im having trouble finding replacements on the exact transistors i need. so here are the numbers im reading and pulling off of them.

                F B J25
                FQA
                36P15

This is how the numbers and letters look on the transistor itself and there are a total of 4 of these.

                F 1J24AV
                75344G

There are only 2 of these.

IF anyone who could point me in the right direction that would be great. im not sure which numbers i need to be searching for.

So i got all the parts needed ordered from mouser finally. I know that they will need some new thermal paste on the backside though. can i just use normal computer thermal paste? i have some cooler master stuff laying around but just thought id ask if this will work just fine?

Possibly bad T-Con RUNTK4244ZZ or panel? Could main or power supply cause this? There were 2 blown 560u 35v on power going to backlights but they were still working fine. Thanks for your help.

Got a case of something new weird at work. There is an old 2nd gen Intel i3 in an old “Pizza box” shell that has a small form factor power supply. Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures and model number off it.

Anyway, I get to work and get to look at this computer. Standby LED on the PSU is on, but the computer won't start. Hmm o.k. take the battery out of the main board try again, nothing. O.k. then… unplug the power supply from the main board and put in a full size ATX PSU (yeeeesss! Exact that blown Powerman IP that I fixed a while back), plug it in and the old...

RTX3090 working fine but fans not spinning

Hello guys. I have a problem with a PNY XLR8 GAMING RTX3090 graphics card. The problem is that it displays and works fine, but the fans don't spin at all. The problem occurred when someone else removed the fans in order to clean it and broke one of the fan connectors. He replaced it himself and after that, it wasn't working anymore. I guess he damaged something else in the process. What i have done so far: I found 2 capacitors next to the connector that were in a bad shape, he must have touched them with his tools - they weren't shorted, but i replaced them with similar ones from a similar card....

I have this TV set that I spent a long time fixing it.
I finally found a shorted SMD capacitor near the plug from the PS at the main board. It was shorting one of the main voltages (can't remember which one)
I removed that capacitor, and as it has another one in parallel, I left it with only one, checked it and it seemed to work fine. The solder near that capacitor was really delicate as I pulled apart one trace so I prefered to not mess much with it after I had to air solder one small thread of copper

I didn't use that TV much at that time. Now that I'm using it,...

I have a customer machine on my bench right now that's stumped all the techs, so I decided to come here for help.

                          The specs are:
                          MPG Z590 Gaming Carbon Wi-Fi (MS-7D06)
                          Intel core i9-10900kf
                          2x16gb Corsair Vengeance kit
BIOS ver is E7D06IMS.1B0, from 6/12/2023

The machine was brought in because it would not POST after a GPU upgrade from a GTX 1030 to an RTX 3070. The customer also brought in the original GTX 1030, as well as a GTX 1060 that the machine also wouldn't POST with.
I tested the 1060 and 3070 on my bench (ASRock X570 Phantom Gaming...
