Hi guys, has anyone got any info on how this dvd unit actually works. Cut a long story short I bought it from Ebay Uk and it didnt work as it should, got a refund and guy let me keep the unit so it would be great to get it working as the build quality is out of this world , typical Japanese electronics.
The fault it this:-
Screen works and volume but thats it. Remote does nothing. I found a small micro switch has broken it seems to sense when the screen is in the closed position. All the unit says is "Screen position Error please press open button". The buttons down the right hand side are dead when screen is in any position. Bridging whats left of the micro switch doesnt do anything either
Funnily enough if I press the DVD eject button the screen starts to move in small increments one way which is bizarre?
Id love to fix this unit so if anyone has any idea on how it works or where to start id love to hear from you. Its very sophisticated and appears to have a hall sensor and a toothed track to determine screen position. It is relatively easy to scope the sensor if needed.
