Help Need Idea's on Repairing this H4n Audio Recorder!

Hey guys so I picked this Zoom 4n Audio Recorder up off of ebay AS IS and I figured I would give it a shot. Well got it in and the power switch was missing as I expected. I tried using a paperclip to turn it on but no go! So here goes.

Here's what I have done so far, tested that the board is getting power from the batteries. Reseated all the connectors. Ran it with as few boards as possible. Used a Microscope to search the entire three boards for a damaged/burnt components. Found out the wires coming off the Main Board go to the Aux Power Jack 5v 1AMP on the bottom. Tested to see if it would power over USB.

Also, I believe that this unit can be powered up solely by USB, am getting someone to confirm that. If so this would not power up over usb as well as not working with batteries.

Here are some pictures, the three boards snap together. I believe the smallest handles all the power. Give me ideas on what to start testing.

I'd probably start with the dodgy looking joints..

And google the device to see what normally goes wrong with them.

Help troubleshooting an audio problem with an RCA SGT-250 CED Player
      by samson7point1@yahoo.com
The Problem: This player has a toggle switch to select between Stereo, Mono R, and Mono L. Regardless of the setting it outputs the sound to both the L&R audio jacks. In the Mono R position, the audio output level is normal (from both the L and R audio output jacks), in the Stereo position the audio output is about half the volume, and in Mono L, it's about 3/4 the volume. Something about putting it into Stereo mode is causing the volume to drop significantly and I can't figure it out.

The player processes the audio signal using two different reference frequencies. The "R"...

      Cyberpower cps1500avr not charging batteries
      by carrzkiss
      Hello, all.

      Cyberpower Battery Backup Unit.

I bought two new ML18-12 batteries through Amazon (They have already refunded my money for the two batteries as we thought the batteries might have been bad.)
When I got them in, they were not fully charged. I connected them to the UPS and waited 24 hours before connecting any networking equipment.
In parallel, they read 24v, but within 24 hours, the meter on the front of the unit dropped from 4 to 3 bars on the battery charge indicator.
Checking the voltage, it was down to 22v.
      I quickly removed everything...

Roland KR-3500/4500 Digital Piano. Crackling audio sound on all keys -Fixed
      by i_am_patch
Hi All. I had a Roland KR-3500 Digital Piano (similar to the KR-4500) that exhibited a Crackling audio sound on all keys. After reading somewhere about someone with a similar issue who had replaced all the Electrolytic caps I decided to also go down that route. (Spoiler : It worked !) After some basic troubleshooting I determined that it could be noise feeding thru from the Keyboard scanning since the Demo tunes played back undistorted and the Audio amp / speakers were fine ( Inserted an Audio signal into the rear Audio input). After extracting the main board from the shield, I replaced 7 Capacitors...

Where do repair shops buy MB replacement batteries?
      by howardc64
Order my parts from mobilesentrix.com and iPhone batteries have been excellent. Recently got 3x bad A1534 (2015) batteries. All would work until ~30-40+% and drop to < 10% instantly. Typical sign of cheap batteries.

Perhaps the less popular A1534 model's aftermarket batteries are more source limited. Just find it surprising quality from mobilesentrix (usually fairly high quality aftermarket parts) have been so poor.

BTW, this isn't the only defective parts I've had from mobilesentrix. Amongst others including iPad Air touch screen and A1989 touch bar (display was...

DVR recorder Switching power supply Failure
      by sam_sam_sam
When I originally started with my DVR recorder it had 4 individual switching switching power supply’s that were sh*t so I bought a 7 amp 12 volt switching power supply and modified the output plug and put a four output power supply cable to match the input power supply cable inputs

Which worked for over 14 years until a few days ago when the cameras went dark no picture anymore well it turns out now the switching power supply has stopped working altogether now so I have to troubleshoot what has happened to this power supply more later on today what I found

      This...
