    Yamaha RX-V459DAB not powering up

    Just fixed this amp.

Same fault as many other RX-V amps, bad 22nF/630V capacitor on standby circuit.

Will have a video up soon.

      Lenovo ThinkPad E14 Gen 5 - Not Powering On - 3 Blinking Lights - 20 volts 0.224 amps
      by bialag
      Hello,

I have a Lenovo here that does not want to power on. The motherboard appears to be clean, no sign of corrosion or obvious fried components. When plugged in, I see 3 blinking lights and then off. It would cycle the 3 blinking lights every 10 seconds or so as long as I have the adapter plugged in. Amp meter shows 20 volts, 0.224 amps, no fan spin, red light indicator near the charge port.

Thermal camera shows a section of the motherboard that is warmer than the rest. It is near the connector labels JRTC1 (CMOS battery). Diode measurement to ground for pin 1 = OL,...

      Yamaha RX-V373 not powering up
      by Rupsenkind
      Hi all,

I've a Yamaha RX-V373 which does not power up, only main relay clicks and then falls back, already checked the following:
      - DIAG or Advanced menu does not work
      - All relevant sub voltages are available (5-7-12V)
      - According to the SM,IC's 268-262 and 261 should give 1.3V, 1.2V and 3.3V but at all I measure around 7V at pin 1 (so output voltage is equal to input voltage 7V)
      - As a try I swapped IC-262 for a new one but still measuring 7V output.
      - As these 1.3,1.2 and 3.3V voltages are feeding processors (a.o. uP and DSP) I assume this is...

Help Needed: Yamaha RX-V485 Network Issue After Firmware Update (WN9711 Error)

      Hi everyone,

I'm facing an issue with my Yamaha RX-V485 receiver. During a firmware update, the process failed, and now the USB, Bluetooth, and network functionalities are not working. Occasionally, the receiver displays the error code WN9711.

I came across Yamaha Technical Bulletin No. 0103, which describes a similar issue for models like the RX-V4A, RX-V6A, and RX-A2A. According to the bulletin, the issue can be resolved by shorting soldering points (e.g., J260 for RX-V4A or...

MacBook Pro A1990 stuck at 5v .592 amps
      by Fisher8865
      Hi guys

I have a MacBook Pro A1990 that takes 4.9 Volts and .592 to .615 amps on one port. The other port on the left side power cycles with about the same amount of volts an amps but quickly power cycles. The same thing happens on the other side but opposite. So on the left side the bottom port stays on and on the right side it's the top one. I think it is a CD3215 chip but I am not sure how to test it or where to get one. I have checked for voltage at ppbus_g3h and it has 12.6 V which is also on fuses f7000 and f7001 I checked pp1v2_s3 and it has 1.2 V then...

HP Elitebook 8470P Dead not Powering on drawing 0 amps.
      by platinumsteel
Hi guys hope you all are fine.I have a HP Elitebook 8470P have me confused.Hoping you guys can help me figure it out.It draws 0.00 amps and does not power on at all.I notice something weird on the 19V rail tho.I have 3v and 5v on coils tho.I have no PGOOD Signal on Pin 23 of the 3V/5V TPS51123RGER IC. I have Vreg3 which is 2.4V and Vreg5 Which is 5V. I have voltage on the TRIP1 and TRIP2 lines which I was told that it should not have any voltage there.Or else the IC goes into Protection Mode. Not sure if that is true. But anyway I have attached 2 pictures. One showing the voltages in relation to...
