    JBL stage micro, no sound?

As title guys, fixing this to make some cash.

It powers on but i get no audio.

I have tested for continuity on the speaker terminals and both + and - are grounded??

Any idea where to start. Pics attached. (Better this time Retiredcaps)

Photos are fairly good but a bit too much flash.
Have you tested the fuse? - at least I think its a fuse looks like an F just before its obliterated by the flash.
Also looks like a voltage regulator at U6 can you post the part number and try to locate a datasheet.
On the pic of the bottom the soldering on the pins (right hand side bottom and top) doesnt look great - can you check its ok.

Checked the fuse and its fine, although no voltage on it? Also the bad looking solders are fine, i have scraped around them with the end of my dmm thats why they look poor but make great connection.

U6 has this number on it 33ys932 but the only result is a site that can harm your computer, it also has 5209 on it.

      Thanks selldoor

Something is not right with your fuse voltage if you say there is power, but no audio.

Are you measuring AC or DC?

I can't tell, but is this JBL using an external power adapter?

U6 has this number on it 33ys932 but the only result is a site that can harm your computer, it also has 5209 on it.
It is likely a 3.3V regulator from the part number.

          1) Set your multimeter (if manual range) to 20V DC.

          2) Put your black probe on a ground screw. Leave it there the entire time. This is your ground.

          3) Put your red probe on each of the pins including, but ignore the "fat" tab. The fat tab is "up" or "north". Number the pins left to right.

          4) You should have 3 readings per regulator.

          5) Report them like so.

          pin 1 = 0.0
          pin 2 = 3.3
          pin 3 = 5.0

              Totally forgot about this thread.

I have opened it up again and have some readings for U6,

              "TAB FACING UP",,

              Pin 1 7.52v
              Pin 2 0.00v
              Pin 3 3.31v

Also i have circled what i believe is a transistor, When the dock is switched off the 2 pins i have pointed out have no continuity but when i switch the dock on is shows continuity, I am pretty sure it is shorting to ground but only when switched on?

              Any ideas?

                  by ChaosLegionnaire
so i took out one of my spare gigabyte ep35-ds3r mobos from storage for use to do some cpu, ram and video card testing of stuff i bought from ebay and got for free from momaka. he bought 50 e8400 cpus for cheap from ebay some years ago and i decided to help him relieve him of some of his supply since he had waaaay too many!! what did we say about hoarding too much stuff and depriving others of them?! *cough* socialism *cough* lol!

i had to blow some dust off the board and heatsinks with the datavac as i didnt clean it up before putting it in storage. after finishing...

                  by LEECH666
                  Good day ladies and gentleman!

I am currently trying to repair a Grundig Vision 9 37 9880 T USB LCD TV for a friend that has a weird audio problem. Basically everything works fine except for the heavily distorted sound when the Subwoofer module is connected and there is a buzzing sound coming from the PSU PCB.

This seems to be a rather rare TV so there is not much prior on topic help to be found however a service manual is available at the usual sources (Electro Tanya i.e.).

I think the PSU buzzing comes from one of the coils near the bridge rectifier but...

Marian Trace Alpha sound card repair help
                  by Christos Tsiligiannis
                  Hello to the forum.

My name is Christos, I am new to the forum here and i am posting from Greece.

So i have this old German sound card from Marian, called Trace Alpha. To be exact i have 2 of them and i use them professionally for my small FM radio station here. The first one works like a charm, but the second one does not work at all.

To be more specific in the same exact pc with windows 7 (i even tried 32bit) the one works while the other doesn't.

So i tried asking for a schematic from the company and they would not give me one. Instead they...
