    Bose Headphones

Well here is the deal. I used to buy the "Dollar Store" over the ear headphones. I had this one cat that loved to bite the cords right off them. She fixed one pair of these for me while I was using them with her on my lap. She will no longer be a problem since a fox killed her last spring.
I bought something called "Trisonic" at Wallmart. They were inexpensive. They sounded OK but are just way too tight on my head. These did last long anyway because the sliding hinges on both sides of the head band broke.
Next I got these things from Koss at Wallmart. They fit well but never sounded all that great. Some how I managed to step on them and broke both earmuffs off the headband.
Yesterday I found a pair of Bose AE2 headphones for $99.00 at BJ's Wholesale. http://www.bose.com/controller?url=/...ae2_headphones
They sounded good on the store display. Are these things worth buying?

Compared to their speakers, Bose headphones are good for the price. Idk how well they'll play with your cats tho, there are reports of them being fragile.

Fragile means they are a no go around here. What my cats don't bust I will...LOL Maybe I'll look at Sony's products. Had a pair of their very good ones years ago. Maybe they still make them today.

        Re: Bose Headphones

Does anyone know where to buy parts for the Koss Ur/29 headphones? All I need are the two little inside plastic brackets that lock the muffs to the headband. I did a quick repair with black electical tape and all is well for now. I can't see spending real money when $5 or so bucks worth of plastic doodads will fix everything. Its a known fact now that I shouldn't step on my headphones.

If you want quality sound, I really recommend testing some Sennheiser headphones.

They have excellent sound and some models have everything removable or replaceable.

I have a Sennheiser HD 212 Pro (probably no longer available as it's about 2 years old) which has removable cable and I actually ordered two cables separately to replace it.

It's not a bad cable or design that needs to be replaced often, it's headphones designed for DJs so it's just very long (3 meters/ 10 feet) and I accidentally step with the chair feet on it

RCA WHP141 wireless headphones wired up
              by momaka
OK, this one dates back to 2015! I thought I had posted this, but realized I didn’t when I posted a picture of something else. So here it goes…

Back in 2015, I bought a pair of RCA WHP141 wireless headphones at Micro Center for $2. I even mentioned it in the best cheap/free scores thread right here. Just forgot to follow up with that.

As mentioned back then, these are (were) 900 MHz FM wireless headphones. No modern day Blutooth or anything like that. I knew they wouldn’t be great headphones or even that good… but the price was right! So let’s take...

              Mercedes-Benz W163 Bose Audio System

              Howdy everyone!

I have a SUV with a Bose audio system and I'm considering either a system upgrade, or purchasing a complete replacement system while bypassing the integrated Bose system.

On the Bose side, I have not found any specifications yet. It's a decent system but I'm, at a minimum, replacing all the factory speakers, head unit and adding an amp and two 8" subs. The Bose is a 2ohm system and I'm not certain about this point. In order to use a 4ohm set of speakers (component/loud), I would need to install 2 sets of 4ohm speakers wired in parallel to match the...

Plz help ID this component from Bose QC35 headphones
              by W1ngl3t
              Hi all,

The IC on the pic is sits on the pcb of a Bose Quietcomfort 35 ii and it seems to connect to the right speaker driver. I have been unable to identify it from the markings, which is a problem as I suspect it needs to be replaced.
I've seen another one of these IC's from a different QC35 and the top three digits were different (it's '848' on this one and '582' on the other one), which leaves us with only 'NP' being common.
              Any help would be appreciated!

              Thanks

bose soundlink color 2 strange behavior
              by Steadily7-Colossal0
My dad gave me his bose soundlink color 2, claiming that the charging port was loose. I opened it up, plugged it in, probed around with a multimeter, and I can measure 5V all over the board. I wiggle the charging cable around, no change. The port looks fine: sturdy, clean contacts. I measure across the battery wires and I get 0V, so I assumed the battery was the problem. But then a few minutes later after I disconnected and re-connected the daughter board with the buttons, lights were flashing and I was reading 3.3V across the battery wires. The only logical explanation for this I could come up...

Sony WH 1000XM4 Headphones always on because of corosion?
              by dbuergi
              Hi all,

i got these headphones which were not charging or powering on. I found some corosion around the charging port and power board. After cleaning the headphones took a charge but directly powered on.
The power button ist without any reaction. I suggest that there ist still some gunk under the button and i get an always power on. Do you have any suggestions what to do? Is it possible to desolder the button for a cleaning?
I could replace the board for 25 euros but maybe there is another way?
