    Denon AVR-X2500H burnt HDMI5

    Hi everyone,
i've made a mistake due to haste.
I was soldering an HDMI male plug of a 15mt cable, while i forgot the other side connected to HDMI5 input of my Denon AVR-X2500H (that was off in standby, anyway).
During the soldering process, i've seen a little spark from a wire, when i was soldering it with my soldering iron tip.
After that, i've checked on the rear of the AV and I saw the HDMI5 male connected (the other side of the cable).
I've immediately disconnected it, but it was too late.
HDMI5 input is not working anymore, blank screen.
Fortunately other HDMI inputs are working good, but i would like to fix the broken one.
I've downloaded X2500H service manual, but it's not easy to troubleshoot.
It's necessary to buy a kit that is expensive and not available.
    Could you help me?
Hope it's not necessary to replace the entire MN864788 IC.

    Thank you

It is rather more likely, that you will need to replace MN864788 I'm afraid.

X2. you can try doing some impedance checks (with the power disconnected!) comparing results with the working ports to the bad port. You might get lucky and track down an smd cap / resistor that is bad but odds are high that you caused problems to the large multi pin QFP as mentioned.

Ic is very likely but check first those transistors 1011 and 1012 . Also you have some 0ohm resistors that might be there as fusible links that are worth checking 1125,1127,1129

            Hi

I have an Ersa rds 80 soldering station which has developed a fault and just showing err on display
I have found a burnt resistor on pcb can anyone help me identify this resistor if you have a circuit diagram or similar unit
The printed circuit board markings are rd80 ver 2.0 and the resistor in question is R6

            Many thanks...

Elitebook 840 G5 Bios Chip Soldering Question
            by Azurain
            Hi everyone,

I have an HP Elitebook 840 G5 that I am trying to get working again. I've removed the front bios chip (the 32mb one) and have run it through HP unlocker already. I've uploaded and verified the new bin, but am now experiencing an issue that has led me to believe I've been soldering the chip back to the motherboard incorrectly.

Essentially, after re-soldering the chip back into its place and reassembling the laptop, the charging light immediately flashes orange and white and then shifts to a solid white. The capslock and numlock lights blink seven times...

Zotac GTX 260 burnt component - can anyone identify?
            by dicky96
            Hi guys
This Zotac GTX 260 had a high side MOFET on one Vcore VRM phase short circuit Drain to Gate (Not short Drain to Source)

This has burnt out the drive IC L3E (ADP3110A) and also an SOT-23 device very close to the driver IC. According to the PCB markings 'Dxxx' this is likely to be a diode.

Basically the VRM has 4 phases, two powered from one 6 way connector and two powered from the other 6 way

I would assume each pair of phases are basically identical, the burnt out phase has SOT-23 devices WW1 plus the burnt one.

            The good phase...

Apple MacBook Pro A2338 820-02773-A AON Rail burnt
            by mferna14
Hi Dear Friend., I am working on a Apple MacBook Pro A2338 820-02773-A. The history was that the AON Rail on the Trackpad connector JT400 was burnt. After I removed the burnt connector, I tested with the meter & no shorts. Connected the USB C power & all booted fine, no problems at all. I soldered a New TP connector put in the old trackpad with a brand new Flex cable. The laptop beeped in the start but no display. I removed the connector & the display was fine again. USED a known good Trackpad & a Flex cable, even with this still the same problem. I checked the connector whether...

A few months ago,I have purchased 0.1mm Soldering Iron Tip of below aliexpress link,But I noticed that It is totally impossible to use this 0.1mm iron tip in the T12 soldering station
            https://ko.aliexpress.com/item/4001275635593.html
Is there any good soldering station which is possible to use 900M-TJ-I tip and have inexpensive or reasonable price in aliexpress?
            Any reply would be appreciated.
