    SB190 rectifier diode alternative

I'm just troubleshooting this Toshiba combo vhs / dvd recorder.

I've got a diode that's flaring up on the thermal cam so looking to replace

Marking are SB190 which shows it as a 90v 1A schotky diode.

Only thing close I can fine is a 100v one

    Will that do the job?

    SB1100 is perfectly fine.
it is same diode as SB190 with higher voltage

It's strange to have such a high voltage rectifier in a DVD combo player, usually they are 12V and 5V rail kind of thing.
The penalty using Schottky diodes with higher rated PIV is losses go up, they make more heat due to their higher voltage drop. SB170-SB1100 datasheet

I found several LED backlit monitors with LED supply voltage less than 20V but using 200V schottkey diodes in power supply rail. and they failed after some time. this can be the cause. but don't know why they use high voltage diodes.

alternative diode to Samsung TV 55 mb
          by baxmax
Hi, Recently my Samsung 4K QE55Q60AAUXXH just suddenly stopped working_ there is no any sign of life - no red light or anything..and think, after diagnostic, it is diode DM863c SF28e PK33 siyu or one of these four. Is there any alternative I can replace with since it is hard to find it in my country and to order outside is quite difficult. thank you...

          Help finding alternative rectifier (SF3006PT)
          by curt2199
I'm working on my treadmill motor control board and found a short on the motor side. The rectifier SF3006PT is shorted across 2 legs. I don't believe I got it back on the heat sink properly when replacing the bridge rectifier that had gone out which lead to it getting hot and blowing about 30 mins into a jog. I've looked around and most of what I'm seeing is at least a month out from China. I'm wondering if anyone has an ideas on a suitable alternative that I could find within a week or so stateside. Below is the Mouser data sheet.

Finding replacement diode iPad Pro 3rd gen A1701
          by asr
Hello, I am looking for help to replace a damaged diode. The tristar was replaced and a diode was damaged in the process. I have a picture of the diode but dont have an exact donor. I mostly have macbooks for donors and only a few ipad and iphone boards. Diode part number: DSF01S30SCAP
Im not sure where to find the ipad board number. Anybody have an idea where else this diode is used on other boards? Thanks....

          TV backlight zener diode
          by unimatrix93
Hello everyone, I'm repairing an LG TV backlight and I noticed some strange behavior when I touching the backlight strip with a missing Zener diode.

So I replaced the leds on the strips and they seemingly working fine, but soon as I touch the strip which has a missing Zener diode the whole backlight turns off for a few seconds and then turns back on.

Is this caused by the missing diode? If so what kind of zener diode should I use to replace it?.

The led strips has 9 6V leds.

monowheel repair,Is the diode the problem?
          by NicRac
Hello everybody☺️ I am glad to be here and looking forward to a good discussion.

First of all, I am new here. Therefore I will shortly introduce myself.
I am Nico and currently I study Physics.
In my freetime I like to build and repair stuff. Especially big battery's.

A few years ago I got myself an electric unicycle, monowheel or however you call that.
The battery bms was broken so I replaced and resolder that. Nothing big.
I used this thing for some years and had a lot of fun. Unfortunately I used it last time in heavy rain. Usually everything...
