I get sick of having all the fans in a PC running a maximum speed all the time because the motherboard doesn't support temperature controlling, but the PC gets too hot if you run them on 5v. The solution: This. I've put a few of these together so far and they're exclellent. Well worth the $5 they cost me to make. The other awesome thing is that i can choose the target temperature.

DIY Fan temperature control
I love putting bad caps and flat batteries in fire and watching them explode!!
No wonder it doesn't work! You installed the jumper wires backwards

by CapLeakerGot a new victim:
AcuRite 5 in 1 Iris outdoor weather station not updating the temperature / humidity anymore. The original sensor is a SHT21. Also there are identical other sensor manufacturers. I chose the HTU21D to replace the original SHT21. Both have identical specs. I've had two failure modes with these sensors.
A: outside temp stuck at -40?It's cold here at times in Canada, but not that cold!
B: stuck at some temperature and maybe updating once in 12 hrs or so.
Easy solution is to go to AcuRite website and purchase the sensor. Right?...

by sam_sam_samMy wife is asking me about getting one because our electric bill was that it has ever been even more than last year at this time nothing has really changed since last year last month unless the electric company has done some fuel adjustment charges I have not done any investigation into yet but I might have to but there was a time back a few years ago that I use to set the temperature warm during the day when we were not home but when we got wooden floors in our house and you have to keep the humidity down to keep it from warping I just set to a temperature to 75*F to keep the humidity down but...

by capwizardis PID controller (a proportional integralโderivative controller) the best way to control the temperature? Example: BGA Workstation.
Do I have another option for more accurate & fast response temperature controller? maybe Arduino micro controller with AI?
--------------------------------------------------------
over 90% of the controllers used today use some form of P-I-D control.
PID control dates back to the 1890 meaning that a majority of the vehicles used today in industry are using a 126-year-old controller
methodology.

by YanlebHi all, I just want to share the repair of my 60PK550-UA TV set.
The TV set was powering on, just no image. After verification, nothing wrong on the YSus or ZSus boards. Nothing wrong on the main board either.
But I noticed that the LED was not flashing on the Logic Control Board. This is an EBR63450301. The LED is supposed to flash even with all the flat cables disconnected, with only the power cable attached.
All the voltages measured at the electrolytic capacitors on the board were good. From top left to bottom right:
C57: 3.30V
