When replacing caps on mobo

    When replacing caps on mobo

    What do i need to remove from mobo when replacing with new caps..i know i need to remove ram,batt ..do i need to remove my cpu and heat sink or will they be ok left in place while i recap ..

    Well if you got to remove your mobo from your pc, its not going to take much longer to remove eveything else, so i would remove them to be on the safe side

      Can caps cause any issues if they are touching each other when space is tight ..

        No, it shouldn't be a problem for them to be touching. Ideally, they should be separated by at least a little bit, to improve airflow, but many motherboards are designed to have a whole line of them right up against one another. The plastic sleeves on them are insulating though, so you don't have to worry about them shorting anything out.
