Re: Standard UK sockets
voltage is 230-250v,
your talking amperage.
the maximum current per socket is 13A continuous - although i have seen some cheap ones melt if you do that!!!
it really does not matter how many things you connect as long as the amps dont total over 13.
and just for fun:

Re: Standard UK sockets
Multi-socket adapters are pretty much essential in HiFi, TV cabinets and on electronics workbenches but you have to be mindful of the kind of appliances you plug in. stj is right to warn about the danger of drawing close to the 13A limit. The construction standards of typical multi-socket adapters tend to be nowhere near as good as those found in the kind of outlets built into houses.
I like to fit the mains plug of a multi-socket adaptor with a 5A fuse just to make sure it doesn't accidentally get overloaded. Four lots of up to 300Watts can still be supplied which should be plenty. If appliances individually draw significantly more (e.g. kettles, toasters clothes Irons etc.) then do everything you can to plug them directly into a wall outlet.
I have a pair of frankly insane 12-way socket panels on the wall above my workbench but they're typically full of little phone chargers and the like. I doubt they ever see more than a couple of Amps pass through.Comment

Re: Standard UK sockets
technically so long as you dont switch everything on at the same and max running power of everything added up is no more than 13 amps it should be fine .. when powering things up start with highest current one first then next lower one etc etc .Comment

by Simonc123Hi guys, I need a bit of help. I use a CH341A programmer, which is fine for 3.3v old-style bios chips. I need to reprogram some 1.8v chips, which are QFN type chips. I have the 1.8v adaptor for that slots onto the programmer, which does step the voltage down to 1.8v, but as you can see in the picture added, it doesn't fit in the IC holder.
Please see the 4th picture that shows what looks like what should work for the QFN IC (highlighted in red). The issue is that the 8 pads on the programmer are too long and short out the IC. Is it a case of putting kapton tape over the center ground...4 Photos-

by Grady1952Hello. I have a SurfTab Twin 11.6 and accidentally flashed the wrong BIOS. I have tried a BIOS that I found on this site but it only shows 2GB of RAM.
The original BIOS showed the full 4GB. Please post any BIOS that you think may work for me. Thank You!
Tablet info: i30L64GB16477420283 (purchased as an "iwork1x").
Some sites have a BIOS "st11432-2b," "N1W6" or similar names but I have not been able to download them.
BIOS that is installed now is TP15-VT5.3.3.2 (showing 2GB RAM).
Thanks in advance for any help!-
