Hello Newbie here..., few years ago i bought a broken twin frozr gtx 750, seller said that theres heavy stutter issues in every game tested. i inspect it a little and find two tiny capacitor torn out near the pcie x16 gold pins, i assume it will be running in 8x ? the furmark-like gpuz test showed that there's indeed a heavy stutter and low fps but i tried this with EXP GDC and a laptop.
Few months ago i bought a broken Twin frozr gtx 750ti with unknown issues, i didnt test it and jump straight to thinking that i probably need to solder everything that the gtx 750ti have but gtx 750 didn't have.
What i solder (as far as i know) : 4th phase inductor (L15) , mosfet (U4539), and electrolytic capacitor (C143) with their capacitor/resistor pairing. Also a mosfet in the back of the card (U508).
So i add everything and it worked out for a moment. The gpuz test and heavens benchmark runs well. (I still only have exp gdc and laptop to test the gpu at this moment)
After a while the gpu came back with its former issues (heavy stutter in gpuz test and heavens) again but with an added issues, now that i have an old pc to test it with, the gpu won't show in device manager. But with the exp gdc still detect the gpu but with an error 43 code, i used a fix patch and installed a error 43 fixer patch for EXP GDC i find on the internet but the error 43 problem persist.
i found a youtube videos about gpu troubleshooting and with MSI v310_20 schematics, i measured what i could using multimeter with result below.
Continuity measurement :
- first 3 gold pins(12v input), no beep
- 8th gold pin from the left (3,3v input), no beep
Resistance measurement :
- 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th inductor phase, 39.0 ohm
-VCC_NV_PWM, 186,4 ohm
-PEX_vdd, 57 ohm
-5v rail (U5), 178 ohm
-3v3 PEX (U502), 390 ohm
-12v PEX (C72) 540 ohm
Some random Voltage measurement at the back of the card :
1.05V, 1.8V, and 13V
bios chip is at 3,6V
vcc nv pwm shows 5 volt
gpu die isn't getting hot, not even warm, just very slightly warm.
voltage not stable, sometimes appear and then vanish.
I will post the picture of what i soldered from gtx 750ti into gtx 750 later.
