Quicko T12-955 Repair (Board Rev 3.3): Help identifying components needed
        by MyBrainIsAStrainer
Hello! I'm newbie-ish in electronics and hope you can help me.

I use a Quicko (or Quecoo, not sure which is correct) T12-955 soldering station as my daily driver. Recently, I had a mishap. While changing tips, the metal contact inside the handle got bent and must have shorted against some other contact. Since then, the station only shows "Error" on its display. I fixed the bent contact but the error didn't go away. In fact, now it's completely dead.

After opening it, I found obvious two faults: A chip that looked molten (U5), and another chip which got very...

I have a question regarding one of these lenovo laptops. I have a thinkpad p1 gen 3 20th-ct01ww. Recently I've had 2 that after windows updates, it no longer detects the battery. I have tried rolling back the bios update and that didnt fix it. Is this something that requires modifying the original bios to fix or is it bios related at all ? Is this issue common. thanks.

Thinkpad E15 Gen2 Intel "lower wattage AC Adapter"
        by danny34
        Hello folks,

My Thinkpad E15 Gen2 with i7 had stopped loading and wouldn't start either. I noticed the typical error with the Mosfet QB6. This has become unsoldered.

I soldered it back on and found that the gate voltage was too low and that's why it was getting hot. Then I wanted to replace the UB7. Unfortunately the one I ordered from China didn't want to run.
So I soldered the old one back in and it still has its 18.9V at the output of QB6.
I stuck a thermal pad on the QB6 to cool it down a bit.

Now the E15 is running again, but unfortunately...

        Liquid cooling?
        by Hondaman
I hope my computer does not randomly reboot while typing this. My main system is the AsRock 970A-G/3.1 motherboard with the AMD 8150 chip. I am experiencing FREQUENT and RANDOM reboots once the system is used for a couple of hours (sometimes it reboots before I even get to the Win7/Linux Mint dual-boot screen). The problem MIGHT be the DRAM controller chip (I recently upgraded to the maximum 64 GB RAM). It also might be the VRM chips. I am using a typical aftermarket CPU cooler, which does NOT blow air DOWN onto the VRM heat sink.

(After previous generation hardware [Gigabyte] didn't...
