    Kenwood Chef Components

    Hi all,

First post here, spent a bit of time looking around here which has been great !!

Anyway what I'm after is some parts to replace a couple of smokin Kenwoods.

Models to be confirmed but I believe them to be A901D and A902 Excel

The units are not actually at my house so I'm going to purchase the parts somewhere hopefully in Brisbane, Australia..

From what I can make out I'm looking for the following parts looking at this

    Web Address

    1 x 8A 600 Triac
    1 x 56 Ohm Resistor
    1 x 100nF X2 Class Capacitor
    1 x 150nF X2 Class Capacitor

From what I understand the Triac would be BTA08 600B

56 ohm Resistor would that be 1W ? What would the preferred type be?

X2 Class Caps Can find the 100nF but not the 150nF locally at Altronics. Anyone know where apart from Jaycar and Altronics I might try please in Brisbane.

Anyway look forward to getting the units going again once we get the parts.

    Re: Kenwood Chef Components

you need to see the old stuff,
the triac may or may not have an isolated tab,
and the resistor could be anything, although it obviously needs to be rated for atleast 300v

OK so I have sourced the parts I need from Element 14

From another ebay post the Resistor is 56 ohm 2 Watt ... not sure of the actual type of resistor that is though if anyone could help.

The Triac I have found is this one

        Kenwood Chef KVC50 / KVL60 / KVC5000 / KVL6000 / KVL6030 / KVL6050 kitchen machine repair
        by RolandVossen
        Hello,

I am attempting to repair a KVC50 kitchen machine. Problem is that speeds 1..5 on the speed dial do not work at all (motor is not engaged). The 'reverse' and 'slow' settings on the same dial however work properly. I removed the dial, its PCB components seems to be basic: a potentiometer, a microswitch, a couple of LEDs and a couple of SMD diodes or transistors. The dial has three cables with three connectors that hook up to the motor controller PCB. One connector (3 pins) for speed, one connector (5 pins) for the LEDs, and one connector (2 pins) for a safety switch that is...

        TRIAC circuit
        by прямо
Anyone is familiar with a TRIAC circuit?

I came across this schematic, and I built it, but I can't seem to figure it out why I'm getting a low AC voltage output at the TRIAC terminals.

With 230V AC hot side at the TRIAC MT2, I measured 60V AC between MT1 and neutral side when the comparator output LED indicator is on, and 20V AC when it is off.

Same result if 230V AC hot side is at MT1, and I measured between MT2 and neutral side.

My heating element doesn't work with 60V AC. It's not even getting hot and the thermocouple amplifier output is a...

        triac phase control 0-100%
        by harp
Trying to understand which properties of circuit affect triac phase range, is it possible to control near whole period, or it have some limitations - on net found a couple circuit, that claims almost full control, but in the past I build some simple circuit and remember that it do only half of control over triac?...

        Triac alternatives
        by Nevillet
        Hi All,

I'm trying to repair a coffee machine where the triac that controls the 240VAC water pump has failed and is latched on.

The water pump is controlled either on or off.

The triac is a surface mount BTA204S-800E. (datasheet attached)

I have a selection of other non surface mount triacs and need advise on selecting a substitute.

        The triacs include BTA16, BT131, BTA208, BTA12, BT138, BTA06

        Any help would be great.

        Many thanks.

KENWOOD KA-701 POWERS ON, NO RELAY CLICK
        by rccrasher65
I'm looking for some help, sorting out a protection circuit fault on my Kenwood KA-701 integrated amp. The amp does turn on , but the relay don't click. It usually ends up being, a transistor, or cap on the protection circuit, DC offset problem. I can't read schematics real well, and the ones I have are really bad quality. There are no good quality one's I have found so far. Looking for some professional help. Blue Midnight helped me a lot in the laptop forums, but It's been a few yrs, like 6 or so. I don't even know if he's on here or if anyone does the amps, but any help navigating throught...
