    Annoying buzz

I have a new USRobotics speakerphone kit and it is the greatest thing I have seen plug into a phone jack but it has a really nasty buzz in it.
Even with no phone connection, the moment you turn it on the speaker emits a buzz that can be heard by not only you but also the people on the other end of the line. It is at the point where I can't even use it because it is so bad.
I can't seen to trace where it is coming from either. Got any ideas?

Try plugging its power supply in a emi filtered outlet: it should stop most of mains interference.
