    ATI R9600L cap ID

Got an AGP card that just started ghosting on the boot screens.
On the card is 8 100uf 16v 5mmX10mm aluminium electrolytic caps.
They appear to be Ark caps (after looking up the symbol A that is printed on the caps)
One of them is definitely bulging on the top, and another has a dent in the top.
There is no marking for series except for perhaps (M)
What would be a suitable replacement for these?

All the searches on this site for ark (except for one) are for noah's ark, and misspellings for arc.

        Here is their site:

        http://www.arktwn.com.tw/table.htm

But I wouldn't worry about the series. Just replace all the caps on the card.

For the three big green G-Luxon 6.3V 1200uF caps, use Nichicon HM/HN/HZ class capacitors. I can't identify the value on the 8mm black cap, but that should also be Ultra-Low ESR.

For the 5x10 caps, use Nichicon PW class or better.

          Thankyou,
Will use Rubycon ZLH for the 5X10 caps, and update thread with result when done.

The 8mm black cap is a General purpose G-Luxon SM 470uf 16v, rated at 315mA ripple.
What would be the best replacement? :
            Nichicon HN rated at 1800mA
            Rubycon ZLJ rated at 1200mA
            ZLH rated at 945mA
            or
should i look for something nearer to 315mA, and if so, why?

ZLH should be enough. The others might be too low ESR and disrupt the functionality of the circuit in some way, although that's not very likely.

The higher the ripple current, the better. It's ESR that needs to be somewhat matched, but variations of +/-50% are perfectly acceptable for ESR as well.

                Sony 49XE8096 intermittent ghosting
                by samolo75
                Hi,
I started posting in a different thread and I was told it was not the best ans the tv model and the fault did not match. I am copping here what I wrote.
After starting the TV it works ok for a few seconds and then starts showing ghost image with horizontal lines intermittently (except the very top). The frequency of the ghosting is steady, like every second or so, it goes from normal to ghosting every second and back.
The TV is a 49XE8096. I already did quite a lot of trouble shooting. And I got the doubt if the problem is in the panel or de Tcon.

                PNP transistor symbol?
                by SuperAman
I have a question about PNP transistor symbol. Usually the emitter arrow pointing in the direction of the base is at top where the collector would be. I got asked on a test where the arrow is pointing toward the base but was in the spot of the collector. The answer choices was PNP or NPN and forward biased or reverse biased. So is it a PNP that is forward biased or reverse biased? Usually on the schematics for PNP the Emitter is on the top and collector is on the bottom....

                What caused the BSOD?
                by Gibon378
                Hello there!
I was doing some usual stuff, browsing the internet, listening to music, coding, etc. and my computer froze. It looked like the website couldn't process the request (logging into the account, there was the loading symbol) and it took a few seconds, then my computer totally froze except for the mouse cursor. It lasted for about a minute and I got the BSOD. It happened yesterday and today (just now).

I managed to get the MEMORY.DMP content, but I don't really understand it. Could somebody help me?

                What is correct triac symbol?
                by harp
I noticed that in schematics is used random triac simbol, where on gate side is T1 or T2. I know it pass current in both direction, so generaly it is not important, but ask for consistency to learn correct. Why is developed this two way of marking if symbol is standarized?...
