I have this relay on my tv lift and would like to figure out what voltage is needed to activate the relay. Which terminal do I test. Thanks Michael

I am trying to figure out what pin gets the signal to lower or raise the tv lift. I want to use something that when tv is turned on it lowers and raises when turn off. So a separate remote is not needed. The relay states it’s rated for 24vdc but I don’t think it’s running on that.1 PhotoComment

The coil voltage is 24VDC. The contacts are SPDT.Comment

The relay's datasheet shows you the pinout. One end of the coil would be wired to +24VDC, the other would be connected to a switching transistor or IC. We can't tell much from your limited photo. Basically, you need to trace the circuit to understand what is going on.Comment

It is likely that one side of the relay coil is connected to the +24v supply and the other end of the coil is connected to a transistors collector, and the transistors emitter connects to ground (negative of the 24v supply) The base of the transistor could be controlled by a low voltage ie:3~5volts from what ever controls this board. If this is the case there will likely be a diode across each relay coil as well. A picture of the back of the board will help as well as knowing what those plugs connect to.Comment

by jm1234Hi, I'm seeing one 9V relay having temperature 40C on its 9V (primary) side. Does that seem right? I switched 2 relays on that board and the temperature was the same (on the same position), so I'm sure it's not a faulty relay. I measured voltage on that relay and it was 9.5V DC, so that looks good. I don't see any other relay on that board having that kind of temperature and they have 9V on them too.
I thought maybe the transistor that is switching this relay keeps switching on/off, so I also checked for AC and there was almost none: 0.3V using mV range. No steady frequency was shown, but... -
by edugimenoHi everyone!
I have this board that suddenly stopped supplying power to an output that drives an interchanger cleaner motor.
I checked while the board was in place with all wires attached and there's no AC voltage on the corresponding plug X5
This X5 is driven by fuse F8 (tested OK) which comes from the second orange relay
To make sure there are no charcoaled contacts inside the relay, I got a 24VDC power supply and got it ready to manually power up the coil side of these relays.
I respected the polarity, positive to cathode of protecting diode
So provided all... -
by sam_sam_samI would like to know what the specifications for the transformer in this data sheet is I would like to build one
Also for figure number 8 as well
Also for figure number 9 as well
Here is the data sheet I know that this item has been disconnected but I can buy them surplus

by edugimenoHi all!
A friend asked me to repair his biomass (pellet) heater. This heater has a pellet feeder powered by a relay that's not switching anymore
I measured the voltage at the relay coil socket while entering the individual tests procedures and it has 6-7v while the relay is NOT on the socket, and drops to 0v when the relay is plugged in the socket, like the source is providing nearly 0 mA. I measured the relay coil and it is correct and not shorted so the issue is in the board, fed no amps to this output
I checked the board at home and this output is driven by an... -
by edugimenoHi there!
My friend wants me to help him repair his old-real-vintage strong-hammer machine. Well it's only 90% real as the force applied doesn't lift the weight itself but it is measured and it moves a motor that lifts the weight
I am attaching several pictures of the machine.
It basically has 2 sides, left side has- 2 x 220->12+24v transformers
- 2 relays (1 moves motor UP, other moves motor DOWN)
- IGF and breakers for safety
- Logic board. Receives 24AC and recitifies it into DC. Contains a uC (M80C85)
