    Can someone who is a member and authorized at... "www.elektrotanya.com" sent me an invitation to register (it seems registration is accepted by member invitation only)
    I need to view their library of service manuals.

      you can search & download 2-3 a day wihout being a member.

          I am a member, but it took a couple of years of waiting for an alternate to being invited. A couple of months ago, they had an option where you could take some 5 question test to get membership. Would have to look and see if they still have that option.

                  Hi all forum members,
                  Fyi, i have been working on this old model PCT-4082 (4 channel car amplifier). The owner said only one channel is working.
                  My initial finding is this amp originally use Toshiba 2SA1943 and 2SC5200 transistor for its output but after opening the top casing i found it used Toshiba A1941 (pnp)and C5198(npn). I desoldered all the 4 pairs transistors and found 1 piece A1941 open(tested "OL" on all legs) and replaced the 1st pair with 2SA1943 and 2SC5200, thats why you can see in the picture it is the bigger size transistor.                   Prices in CAD. I had a nice old couple bring me their LG 42LN5700 for backlight replacement with a classic flash of logo on power up. Quoted them $80 since new strips are only $20 and would take me 30 minutes to swap them out. They had contacted LG who referred them to an authorized service center. They were charged a $40 diagnostic fee (can be deducted from repair cost) and then quoted the next day $160 for parts plus $200 for labour.                   I have a Quantum SuperLoader robotic tape library that uses an IBM LTO 7 tape drive which is constantly complaining that it needs cleaning. If you insert a cleaning tape, it performs the clean and resets the cleaning counter to 0 hours. It should only require cleaning every 50 or so working hours but after as little as just 1 hours use it requests cleaning. We've purchased a new cleaning tape along with new LTO backup tapes but that has not resolved the problem.
