That' looks like a line input pot. I can't say for sure but it might be.
I'm using this to the line input and it's OK.
Even the loud 12” ones don't peak to 0db. They're in the - db range.😊
They've just set the phono input too high but it's perfect for LPs as they are lower anyway.
