    3D glasses

Going to get some for my Panasonic TC-P50ST30 before it dies again.
Are the aftermarket glasses ok? Considerably lower $ than brand name.

MacBook A1502 EMC 2835 820-4924-A dies when installing firmware update
    by brconta
    Hello,
    I have a macbook Early 2015 A1502 EMC 2835 820-4924-A.
Whenever I try to update the system the device dies after reboot. It only comes back to life if the battery is disconnected, and then connected again (energy drain). Apparently the firmware update fails.
I can install High Sierra normally, but I can't install a newer one.
I can use a disk with a newer system that was installed on another machine.
I've already tested another chip and another bios file, but no effect.
    Boot ROM: MBP121.0177.B00
    SMC: 2.28f7
    I've tried the procedure...

Asus zenbook duo UX481F wont recognise aftermarket batteries.
    by Yeti
Hi, the OEM battery stopped working, so i bought an aftermarket replacement, but the laptop doesn't reconise it, says 0% in windows. laptop flashes orange charge light. I have tried 2 different brands and still the same. I borrowed another OEM battery and it worked fine, so i don't think its the motherboard. Struggling to find an OEM battery for it. any suggestions to try?

Compaq series PDP-124P PSU - dies after a split second
    by kotel studios
    Hi

I am quite baffled at this PSU that came out from an dead HP d530 (asus P4SD). Tested all the common failed components, all are fine. D2/3 are both fine. Not shorted in any way. Recapped the whole 5VSB board and the PSU came "back" from the dead (earlier there was a short from neutral to earth, went away disassembly). Now even with 5 load HDD's it's still turning off after a split second. All diodes seem to be fine. Caps are OST, which IMO rarely die. There is 3.3v on PS_ON and 5V on 5VSB. Removed most of the glue there was (pictures don't show it). The traces that look...

    RX570 dies completely, then recovers.
    by fiveseventy
    Hello all,

I have a Sapphire Radeon RX 570 Pulse ITX 4GB (single fan) which has started misbehaving recently.
The card was bought used maybe 5 years ago and has worked without issue until recently.
I have no reason to believe it has been worked on or physically damaged.

For periods of time it will be 100% perfect.
Perfect temperatures, no glitches or artefacts, solid FPS.
I can game, run benchmarks, do whatever without any problem.
I can reboot the machine as many times as I like and nothing changes

    however, most times...

Samsung LE40B750 backlight dies after a while
    by Fusion_de
    Hello dear Badcaps gurus,

I was hoping someone could help me on my fault finding missing.

I saved an old, "broken" TV that my parents wanted to throw out from the recycler as I´m a strong believer in fixing stuff instead of throwing it out.

The patient is a Samsung LE40B750.
The symptom is "screen going dark after a while". The sound is still fine when it occurs.

Its not the signal source. First tests show its the backlight that dies. If I use a strong flashlight I can see the picture.

    The...
