Help reading a capacitor code

This is an orange disc (ceramic?) capacitor.

The markings say:
Sincera
20D41K
SA (in a circle) VDE (in a triangle) 112

I'm guessing one part is the voltage rating the other is the capacity, but I'm not sure if it's 20pF at .5pF tolerance at 41V or 41pF at 10% tolerance at 20V

Just for background, this is for the electronics board of Frigidaire clothes dryer. The component in question has two splits on flat sides that must have shot flames across the board and blew off the copper of the traces on the backside. The copper trace was pretty fat and was only a couple inches from a wire harness connector on the board.

The board (and its housing which was ok, how wasteful) were replaced under warranty, but I asked the guy to leave the old unit.

That is not capacitor, that is the MOV (surge protection device), it is 20mm Diameter, D= Standard series, but I believe the 41K is not the full number, please look again, Sincera is distributed by Worldsproducts in Sonoma California

I use them in my products design.
Is the machine for 120v or 220v? You must have had over voltage or surges.

There are no numbers after that I can read as that's the burnt bit.

This is a gas dryer so 120v.

We were having the mains serviced. Could this have happened from arcing during connection/disconnection of the meters or breakers?

If the neutral on the breaker panel or the incoming from the pole is open then you could have 240v on the dryer.
That is the 150V MOV which is typical for 120VAC line operated equipment.
You may have loose Neutral connection in the panel. You should have it checked before you have more damaged equipment.

I'll double check the neutrals.

We're going through a rehab in one apartment while we're living in another. The city had a problem with some old work and the hot, neutral and grounds for all the apartments were re-run.

One good way to find out if you do have loose connections in the panel is to turn on the stuff in your house, then take a batteries operated AM radio and tune it to blank station and then get the radio close to the panel, if you have arcing going on inside the panel, you will hear static sound on the radio. If you have CFL in the house, turn them off since they radiate a lot of RF into the air.
