    Prom/eeprom

I know, its not about caps..

But, mabye someone can help anyway.
When looking at the datasheet for an Atmel AT28C256 EEPROM (PLCC) it seems pin compatible with a normal OTP PLCC PROM. But, when using the EEPROM, my device is not working.
    Any ideas ??

    Re: Prom/eeprom

The AT28C256 has a different pin configuration to a normal OTP PLCC PROM.
However, an SST27SF256 (many time programmable) is pin-compatible with a normal OTP PLCC PROM.

check the voltage levels (supply and signal), they vary a lot between the different families.
