Are emi filter coils set up for use on 'that' specific circuit or can I take an emi coil and use it on another circuit and still have it reducing noise and working as it should ?

They are general use coils. You do want to use a bigger coil if you're using it on a circuit that draws bigger power than the original power supply, because otherwise it would heat up and burn.

Yes. An EMI coil is in series with the power supply so it needs to pass all the current that the supply is drawing from the line. It's current (amps) applied to resistance (ohms) which causes power (watts). Now, in this case this power is doing nothing useful, so it is wasted power, and produces heat. Given the size of an average EMI coil, the losses should never be greater than 2-3W for the coil to stay at an acceptable temperature. You can use this calculator. Btw, most of those coils have low enough resistance that they cannot be measured with a regular multimeter. Even so, when you're drawing 4A or upwards from the line, even that low resistance becomes important. 4A, even over 0.1 ohms is already 1.6W.

You can;t use coils set from an emi filter to another because coils works as inductors. and depending on the size, radius and number of turns they have the amount of inductance change. and if you know basic of electrical circuit you know inductance is a basic circuit parameter. that is why there is a good chance to increase the noise or not getting any signal using this.Comment

I've been trying to build a Peltier circuit that I can control with arduino and create cooling ramps. I've never built a circuit before and only have a basic knowledge of electronics.
I've been researching how to do this and attempted to build it. My circuit is basically a PWM signal sent to a motor driver with an LC filter to smoothen the signal. Since very low temperatures are required, I added another Peltier on top of the first one. The top Peltier needs to be driven at a lower voltage to limit the amount of heat produced and effectively lower the temperature.... -
I have a laptop HP Victus 15-fb with motherboard DAG3PRMB8D0, CPU Ryzen 7535HS, and GPU RTX 2050. The laptop has a power issue: it does not turn on at all, and there is no light on the DC jack.
After inspection, I found that an NMOS near the charger input had a short. I replaced it, but the short remained on the 19V line. I checked the charging circuit and it was fine, but the short appears after the current sense resistor near the charger. The charger does not pass current when connected, so I inject 3V–4V after the sense resistor. No component gets hot, except the CPU which becomes... -

Measuring a 400v 330uf capacitor across the bridge rectifier and in circuit with a multimeter on ohms. Measures 360 ohms both ways when polarity on the meter is changed. If this is normal, I'd like a brief lesson
