Re: Need software for Intelligent universal programmer lk48
You mention a fix for version 10.5 ...
Unfortunately, I can't find this version on google. If you have it, would it be possible to post a link or perhaps via PM?
Re: Need software for Intelligent universal programmer lk48
not to my knowledge.
i think i'm the only person that even bothered - and the programmer was borrowed.
so i cant really do any newer versions with nothing to test on.

Nope.
I know that there are two versions (XP and UXP) of the programmer, the reason I am interested in an USB solution is just for convenience, NOT speed.
I asked about the PCMCIA and the USB2LPT because these seem two cheap solutions (if they work), then I noticed that the UXP uses the Cypress chip to add USB connectivity and asked if someone has more info about how it's connected internally.
I assumed it was used as an USB to parallel converter, so *possibly* it would be a simple matter to match the I/O pins from the chip to the parallel port signals.
However, as stj pointed out, the USB/Parallel capable software works ONLY on the UXP programmer, while the XP software (parallel capable only) works on both.
Re: Need software for Intelligent universal programmer lk48
no, the original UXP version has USB & parallel on the main board.
and works with both software versions.
they where offering the board as an upgrade for a while - but it has no speed advantage.
But anyway it wouldn't work, as the software would want an UXP to connect to.

1. The programmer parallel version connected thru an USB2LPT adapter to the computer USB port will still require the parallel software version (NOT the UXP version)!
That's easy to understand as the USB2LPT adapter will create a virtual LPT port!
2. If you bought the seller parallel to USB adapter kit, for an outrageous price if I do recall it correctly, then, and only then it would expect, and only work, with the UXP software version.
Although I stand for my opinion, I'm not claiming it would work or not,
but only sharing a light on the right approach to be taken.
Re: Need software for Intelligent universal programmer lk48
yes, the software is 2 different versions - usb, and parallel.
i only hacked the parallel - the programmer didnt have usb.
i have been told that the usb version is not any faster btw.
Re: Need software for Intelligent universal programmer lk48
Does someone know if a PCMCIA (Not PCI-Express) parallel adapter works with the labtool software?
And what about the USB2LPT (https://www-user.tu-chemnitz.de/~heh...index.en.htm)? Is it usable? Seems to use the same Cypress device (CY7C68013A) that the UXP uses.
Re: Need software for Intelligent universal programmer lk48
it's not a fixed version, it's a patch.
download version 10.50 - it's the newest i cracked.
install it.
then open the exe in a hex editor and change the byte at location 0x01e433 from 55 to c3.
then save and your good.
Hi everyone, does anyone use this programmer "T48 TL866II Plus High speed Universal Programmer"?
I am planning to buy a programmer for my Dell Precision 7710 to re-flash the bios....
I havent done this for a long time and want to start it all again, after some evil and annyoing illness.
So I apologize in advance, if some phrases might sound a bit like gibberish or illogical to you.
Im trying my best to fully describe what I plan to achieve and hope I was choosing the right sub-forum for my new adventure.
I have a Elitebook 820 G1 and a Elitebook 840 G2 here.
These ask for a password when entering the BIOS, but boot just fine from the internal SSD.
