    USB-PD Sniffer for USB Type-C

    https://www.chromium.org/chromium-os/twinkie

This is a product for monitoring current and voltage on a connected USB Type-C device, and it also analyses (as well as generates) data for the Control Channel (CC) lines.
My first choice in quality Japanese electrolytics is Nippon Chemi-Con, which has been in business since 1931... the quality of electronics is dependent on the quality of the electrolytics.

How can I modify An EC firmware?
    by caspian
    Dear members,

I have an HP Elitebook 2540P laptop with mainboard: LA-5251P REV 1.0
It has a SIO with model: SMSC KBC1098
I think both the EC firmware and the main Bios reside in a single Bios chip.
Problem: KBC1098 is partially defective so that it does not generate ADP_En at Pin 75 and generates 8 amber blinks on the charging LED, indicating some wrong input.

Idea: Now I need to modify the EC firmware so that KBC1098 ignores the wrong input conditions and always generates a high ADP_En and does not enter a failure state.

    Is it possible...

Lenovo Ideapad 3 15ALC6 motherboard issue
    by totof
    Hello,
I have a Lenovo Ideapad 3-15ALC6 computer that I'm trying to repair.
Initially, the computer wouldn't start, and there was no power consumption from the charger. The board itself is reference HS261&HS561&HS761 NM-D521 rev 3.0, where you can find the schematic and board view here: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...-hs761-nm-d521

When I opened it, I noticed three burnt components near...

    LA-L191P missing +3VLP
    by jasko_jacker
    Hi, all
    LA-L191P BQ24781 signals pin 28 -> 19V [VCC], pin 5 -> 3.3V [ACOK] pin 6 [ACDET] 2.6V, pin 24 -> 5.3V [REGN], pin 25 -> 5.3V [BTST] ,
missing +3VLP -> EC -> signals for manage BQ24781. In the power sequence the +3VLP is the first signal in AC mode.
I presume that the bios is working because one time the motherboard generate +3VLP and goes ON but after a shutdown the situation
came back to no power on -> no main 19V. The question is: who generates +3VLP which is the basis of all other signals?

Every time with the BQ24780S it's like...
