    USB-PD Sniffer for USB Type-C

    https://www.chromium.org/chromium-os/twinkie

This is a product for monitoring current and voltage on a connected USB Type-C device, and it also analyses (as well as generates) data for the Control Channel (CC) lines.
My first choice in quality Japanese electrolytics is Nippon Chemi-Con, which has been in business since 1931... the quality of electronics is dependent on the quality of the electrolytics.

How can I modify An EC firmware?
    by caspian
    Dear members,

I have an HP Elitebook 2540P laptop with mainboard: LA-5251P REV 1.0
It has a SIO with model: SMSC KBC1098
I think both the EC firmware and the main Bios reside in a single Bios chip.
Problem: KBC1098 is partially defective so that it does not generate ADP_En at Pin 75 and generates 8 amber blinks on the charging LED, indicating some wrong input.

Idea: Now I need to modify the EC firmware so that KBC1098 ignores the wrong input conditions and always generates a high ADP_En and does not enter a failure state.

    Is it possible...

    HP 15-cx0054ur (DPk54 LA-F841P Rev:1A) with a problem
    by Robin45
Hello everyone. I received an HP 15-cx0054ur (DPk54 LA-F841P Rev:1A) with a problem - it won't turn on. During the inspection, I found a faulty chip marked 8AAB0G , but I couldn't find any information about it. In the board viewer, it is marked as PUH1 , but I don't have a full schematic. According to the board viewer, this is a power controller that generates +0.95VS_VCCIO . If anyone has an alternative marking for this chip, a partial schematic with it, or any other information, I would be very grateful .

RTX 3080 Vision OC, missing PEX voltage.
    by Gjackson
    Hi all,

I have a 3080 with seemingly correct rail resistances and all voltages present apart from the PEX,

    12VEXT: >1KOhm and rising: 12v
    5V: 2.4KOhm: 5v
    1.8V: 2.3KOhm: 1.8v
    MEM 54Ohm: 1.3v
    PEX: 5.1Ohm: 0v

I found that a zero ohm resistor that powers the AOZ2261NQI-11 IC (from 12v EXT) which generates PEX was open,
on further inspection the IN rail of the chip was shorted, I injected voltage and saw it warm up, once the chip was removed short was still present and I realized it was coming from the other side of the...

    Dell Inspiron 7506 2-in-1 HELLCAT 19859-1 - No power
    by Scaff
    Hi all,

I've had trouble with the power on this device since I got it. It always shut down with no warning and would often fail to power up. Dell's advice has been to disconnect the power and battery, wait, then reconnect and boot. Letting the battery run down completely also helped. I had them come out at one point and they said they replaced the board. This helped for a while but then it just stopped powering on. At this point it's well out of warranty. I missed the chance to get them to come out again because life. Current situation is it shows zero signs of life with both barrel...
