Fluke 123 no image on the screen

    Hello experts,

I recently purchased a used Fluke 123 Industrial Scopemeter from an online Japanese auction site (jauce.com). It has now been delivered. Unfortunately, I overlooked the fact that the seller neither guarantees its working condition nor accepts returns.

When I power it on, the backlight comes on, but there is no image on the screen. After opening the device, I noticed clear signs of previous soldering in several areas (photos attached). It seems someone attempted repairs before.

At this point, I'll have to try and fix it myself. Has anyone here encountered a similar issue with the Fluke 123 or similar models? Based on your experience, what could be the likely causes, and where would you suggest I start troubleshooting?

Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

    Best regards.

you probably should have done some research.
they have a problem with the flex cable coming away from the glass.
there is an eevblog video on youtube showing one being fixed.

not saying thats your problem, but it's a growing one.

Thank you bro, I forgot to mention that I have replaced the screen but the problem is still there.

see if you can find the service manual so you can start looking at the voltages and signals at the cpu then.
