desoldering gun element

I have a desoldering gun the wires have come free from the element how do they attach them? Anyone know

They will have to be crimped on. You can't solder them, first because the element will melt the solder, and second, the solder won't stick to the nichrome wire.

the terminals came away from the element it looked like they are put on with some kind of cement if it was an cheap one I would just buy it but this is a Philips at over £70 I am wondering if I could spot weld it

Yeah spot welding will probably work too.
