hello

over the years i collected some versions of DMI tools for hp
and i wanted them to be all at one place

take note that some version are not correct (limited information, missing readme etc)
for some laptops you need older, for some newer but there is plenty here
also, you need to use this tool in dos
and there is Manufacturing Program Mode Error solution here since it is related to bios programming

enjoy and remember to share versions you have or related fixes

Are there any updates to the latest version of this tool, having issues "branding" the EliteBook 840 G3. It accepts my choice for vPro, when branding (1 - to pick vPro, 9 - to finish with a little warning : this platform is in MPM lock state) but on the next reboot I still see "machine is not in the committed state" and tool does not confirm the commit, shows the following:

Committed Status: Uncommitted
vPro Status: Enabled
ME Status: Normal
ME Disable Override: Not Overriden
NFC Status: Enabled
Committed Status = E

Maybe I should unlock MPM first so these commits will complete? But how do I do it? Thank you in advanced.

Hello, to unlock the mpm, you must take the FSMC.bin file located in the "WNDMIFIT" folder, copy it to a fat32 formated usb key and rename it SMC.bin, plug the usb key to the machine to be unlocked, hold the windows key + arrow UP key + arrow DOWN key at the same time and turn on the system release the keys after you see the blue HP logo
, if the SMC was reset you will read a message on the screen saying "SMC command handled successfully".

After that you can set your DMI.

bro i have 840 g3 for unlock but i tried put smc.bin file into usb fat32 but cant boot with usb or not showing sms command handled successfully
