Samsung LN46A530 Lines - Bad Tcon?

I replaced a tcon on this model before with a washed out display. Found out later I could've just replaced the AS15F chip (shouldn't have trashed the old tcon board).

This one has grid like lines. Guessing it's the TCON and not tab bonds. No lines with LVDS cable disconnected and tried reseating the cable as well.

I do have some AS15Fs coming in for another tv so might try replacing that first.

I would say t-con, LVDS or main. I don't think replacing as15 will help. Think it's only purpose is gamma correction. You can run your t-con voltages through this spreadsheet and check gamma.

Not having luck with used boards on ebay. The original board is producing a washed out image now. My replacement board is sectionalized, inverted and negative. At least there aren't any lines.

Edit add: Just noticed the board is bent which could have happened during shipping. It was just bubble wrapped and sent in a plastic mailer. No cardboard box or carboard insert to prevent it from bending.

Sometimes you have to go into service mode and change settings. May have been out of different size panel. NM it was t-con you replaced not mainboard. You mat have got wrong board.

Not happy the tcon was bent probably during shipping. EBay listing indicates board was from Sanyo TV. What settings in the service menu can I try? Might be a little difficult with the image the way it is.

Good news - success with the third TCON board. Listed as "new" from a Chinese ebay seller but packaged WITHOUT an ESD bag, only clear bubble wrap and a small piece of styrofoam. Guess they wanted to increase the chance of ESD damage with the styrofoam.

Bad news - panel has bad/intermittent tab bonds. It was suspect initially since the TV was missing a lot of screws and there was electrical tape poking out from the top right corner. There was also an intermittent wavy pattern on the far right side. Thought I'd risk it with a <$20 used tcon which ended up with a $30 new tcon. Boards available on ebay.
