TC-P50S30 TNPA5351 has failed twice in three days.

I repaired this set a few weeks ago by replacing three 30f131 fets and sold it. After three weeks, it quit again. I opened it up and found the same three fets were shorted. I replaced them again and this time, used screws from an older Panasonic with lock washers when installing the SC. The owner picked it up around 9:00 last night. At 10:00 last night, I got a text saying it had blown again.

Any guesses as to what I could be missing?

I don't have any great suggestions but which 3?

    The One I did needed 4 30F131. Q402,403,422,423

Replace all 4 : Q402,403,422,423 and also D401,421. And measure R402,403,422,423. Can't remember ohms on those but compare the 4 to each other?

Edit: lol @ TW2005,you beat me to it again, haha

All solder the SC power wires directly to the Pcb after replacing all 4 again.

If I remember correctly, if you are looking at the board, installed in the TV, it was the row of fets closest to the connector. The bottom one, the next one up, and the first one above the two diodes. I don't remember their location names.

You should always replace the transistors in the lower half when replacing the upper half.

Also doubt its a transistor fault, even if one was leaky they would blow instantly so something eles must be blowing them.

Hm, I always thought the connectors were decent - perhaps the contacts were worn from previous arcing events or something of that sort.

This isn't necessarily true as it's more than possible that a transistor could be wounded early on and then fail later. The energy dumped into it by a short circuit could cause damage to the die that may not show up on any tests except by using an electron microscope - so *always* replace the other transistor in any half-bridge.

Already ordered the kit. I'll replace all four fets, and the two diodes and probably the four resistors as well.

yeah , I'd do the 4 like Tom suggests. That's the same banks I replaced but did the 4 and I also used FGD4536 which are smaller package Dpak and it's been good for 18 months now.

Got the kit in yesterday and installed the whole 13 piece kit this evening. I even soldered the cables on both the SS and the SC. it just popped again. Time to part this one out. I'm done.

I have a problem with this machine that still I can't solve, I hope some of you can suggest me something.
I was the first one to open the machine and touch the mainboard, in fact the Lenovo seal was intact the first time that I unscrewed all the internal screws.
The ower told me that it was working very good until Windows kicked "something like a firmware update" (owner's words) then the system started acting weird.

                                      Hey guys,

I've got a Surface Laptop 1769 (the nasty cloth type palmrest) which has a failed 512GB Samsung PM971 (KUS040202M-B000).
These are on BGA291, but I don't know which is equivalent to KUS040202M-B000.

AliExpress has this but it's expensive.

Can anyone help me find a reasonably prices equivalent which I can use as a replacement ?
Or which NVMe can I remove it from ?

                                      Hi

I have a QN65QN90A which was purchased around launch I guess making it about 1.5-2 years old... had been working fine until a few days ago, simply went black and would no longer turn on (at all). No standby light and no typical PSU relay click etc. Absolutely dead.

Pulled it apart without doing much research first, suspecting the power supply as it had a faint buzz (I guess due to the forthcoming found short), investigated PSU for some time and concluded there was no fault that I could spot with the board removed.

Came to learn after a bit more research...

                                      Lenovo NM-B891 (X390/T490 etc..) failed PU1001

                                      Hi everyone!

Got a Lenovo X390 with a NM-B891 motherboard. When USB-C connected it negotiates 12v without any problems but no current is drawn. Inspection of the board shows this failed component:

Based on the boardview I was able to find this is a MP86901. I've removed this component and cleared the pads.

Connecting the charger again shows no improvement (12v, no current).

Resistence around this component (near the CPU) measure around 2.1 and 3 Ohm, probably acceptable for the location of the components being CPU related?

                                      So far...
