    LG led TVs Start Up Sequence and Voltages

    This is the usual arrangement to lg Led tv at least untill 2013.
    1=Start up rectifier stand by regulator 3,5v
    2=Main board 3,5VST feed reset generator and microprocessor
    At this point TV is in Stand-By state.
    3=Ft IR/soft touch key to microprocessor.
    4= microprocessor signal to relay then bridge start and feed 12/24 v regulators.Back light start.
    5=Regulators feed audio amp and panel chip on main VCC 12v start on main.(PWR DET on)
    6=T con start 12vLVDS panel receive voltages VCC VDD VGL P VDD VGL-I VGH.Also microprocessor signal VCC chip
    7=Micro start SMPS inverter
    8=P-DIMM global diming PWM-DIM sent to SMPS inverter, video processor stars from main and sent P-DIMM 1 to inverter, Lvds have video.
    9=Main board sent signal to inverter SCLK MOSI CLK and local diming (Mixing local and global dimming) to feed the panel.
    When the SMPS receives the DRV_ON command from the Main board (3.26V)
    it turns on the on-board Inverter to start driving the LED backlights. The backlight brightness is controlled by the Main board
    TUPICAL MICRO TURN ON COMMANDS
    1=Reset 3.5V ST
    2=key 1 key 2 variable
    3=PWR ON 2.6V
    4=PANEL VCC 12V
    5=POWER DET Variable
    6=Inverter on 3.3V
    7=PWM-DIM1 (PWM Dimming) can vary according to incoming video IRE level Backlight setting
    Range 0.37V to 3.3V.
    8=SCLK/DIM0 VS 3.51V(DIM0 MOSI DATA 3.56V)
    9=SBY 3.5v (to feed reset)
    TESTING
    To start up the SMPS brige PWR ON with STBY 3.5V Check that the power supplies are turned on
    if no Backlights during this test put another jumper DVR ON with STBY and see if the DRV_ON line pulling up to at least 3V.
    One LED can be tested with a Diode Check using a DVM. Forward biased,the LED should light.
    Led drive dimming control 120Hz 12Vp-p on 2mSec time off. When DRV_ON command arrives on power Supply for the Backlights the voltage rise and fall quickly(example 45 to 65v and back)
    To test Tcon jump 12v from SMPS to the Tcon fuse.Disconect the LVDS cables Jump VCC 3.3v to the LVDS(CN1) connector ground pin.Aply ac to power supply, patterns of White, Red, Blue, Green
    should appear on the screen.Voltages can be read at the ribbon connector or at test locations on the board (typical 16.74V, 3.3V, -5V and 28V)

    Trying to find a datasheet for 2 smd's and the schematic for SMPS made by APEVIA

    I am trying to find two smd datasheets for an Apevia 1000w prestige power supply ATX-PR1000W the SMD's are ST9S313 which is a SMPS supervisory chip and a EST 915HP or XP48024 not sure which or both is the chp prod number and the schematic

    Onkyo DX-V500 Laser Disc Player - weird SMPS fault
    by dkneyle
    This relic from a technology path that came to a dead end (but still has historical interest) was brought in with a dead SMPS, which is based around a MK1210 device. I got it going after a battle. It seems to have a strange design - if it's not getting feedback that the secondary is OK it cause the big FET to go into full conduction and overloads resulting in a blown fuse at best or something worse! I'm using a Dim Bulb Tester (70W/230V) which thankfully has saved the day a number of times whilst repairing.

    Now, it loads a CD OK. The motor voltage output (which is built onto the SMPS...

    Hi, Can we use SMPS Bench Power Supply for Laptop troubleshooting?
    by shamsudeen
    Hi all, I just need to know that, can i use SMPS type power supply to test and short circuit detection on a laptop motherboard?
    I saw 95% of repair guys are using only Linear bench power supply. linear bench power supply is pricy, thats why i planned to get one SMPS supply.

    i know that in linear power supply the noise will be very low comparing to SMPS supply....

    Ninja DCT401 Double oven/air fryer Possible microprocessor issue?
    by tbsmith
    I'm having a random issue with this otherwise nice double oven/air fryer. It sometimes does not respond to the controls. Sometimes only the upper control buttons work, sometimes they all work and sometimes none of them work. The power supply is good as the control board has a steady 5V and 3.3V. The pushbutton switches are all good as tested with multimeter. When the buttons are working, there is about 2.5V to the high side of the pushbutton. I'm assuming pressing a button grounds the input pin to the microprocessor. When the buttons are not working, there is about 0.3 volts on the high side....

    Huntkey HK340-72FP SMPS shut on load above 2 amps
    by abhishekkumar1902
    I have this Huntkey HK340-72FP PC SMPS where I am facing a strange problem where the SMPS shuts down when the load on any of its 12v output rails goes above 2 amps while the rating of each 12v rail is above 10amps capable.

    I have checked the following:
    1. All output caps are OK, and all output rails read correct voltages at no load
    2. All output diodes are OK
    3. NTC is ok
    4. Hi voltage cap on input correctly reads 150uF on LCR meter per the spec, also the bridge rectifier is OK
    5. No short in main switching MOSFET
    6. All other components...
