SONY kdl-46xbr6 14 blinks

I have this sony, as soon as i plug it in it turns on and screen is light blue then after about 45 secs it shuts off to a 14 blink code. I have heard 14 blink is panel failure but thats only if the set will not turn on, the set turns on but screen is light blue, im stuck between would this be tcon or main?

check tcon 12 volt at fuse both end.

Show us the good clear pictures of the T-CON board so we can try to locate the SMD fuse. You have meter, right?

You'll need to check it--like any other fuse for continuity with a multimeter. Cant tell by just Looking on this type fuse!

checked the fuses there is like 3 of them the little smd fuses I checked them all there good. could it still be tcon? I was thinking main board

--Who knows! Its a bloody Sony--and aint all they cracked up to be!

Never ever liked Sony in all my 40 odd years of messing with electronics....

Try disconnecting the ribbon cables from the LCD panel to the T-CON to see if the error goes away.

And do you get any DC Voltage with ref to chassis GND on all the fuses?

Well, let start with this, where are the pictures I requested?
Do you know how to use Volt meter?

yes I know how to use a meter, im still learning but not sure like what setting to put it on or how to check for these voltages, please explain and thanks

There are 3 fuses on the top side of the board (F700, 701, 601) and 3 on the bottom side of the board F602, 603, 604.
To test the Voltages, you will set the meter to DCV, black probe on the chassis, red probe to each end of the fuse and reports the readings.
There are also test points for the Voltages as printed on the board.
Your pictures are way put of focus to see anything clearly but luckily SJ has the goods pictures.

Will do today. Should I set dcv on 20 then correct unless its 2rv turn it to 200?

I got about 2.513 something on each side of each fuse

All six fuses has the same Voltage reading?

ok so I disconnected the ribbons from the lcd and yes still same problem, the tv screen lights up then after about 45 secs it shuts down and its a red blink code 14 blinks. so are we thinking its bad lcd?
