have 66 volts off and 176 volts on, for bl on, thanks for any ideas.

BL_ON is 66 volts off and 176 volts on. Are you sure? Meter's battery is good? What do you use for Ground ref? Any pictures? What is it not doing?

tested more, bl-dim starts about 18 v and keeps going up. bl on goes wild from.465 to 186 volts, that is with av board disconected and with power off,

battery is good get proper readings from other connectors, but looks like at least those 2 on cn303 are not right, thanks.

There is nothing on the main board that can generate that much voltage.

That much voltage would have blown out just about all the ICs on the boards. You are not missing the decimal point on the meter?

Try reading 1.5V and 9V battery. what you are reporting are impossible.

this meter is measuring mvs and sometimes v, I have it on dc auto.

So it is varying when measure the battery too? So it is 66mV = .066V. Better get better meter. When meter battery runs low, the readout will show higher reading than it should be. Can't you put it in 20V range instead of auto range?

no its gdt-3200 auto range only, no manual settings.

Well, we need to get correct reading first. right now those readings are way off base.

ok, will do, this meter is a little strange, some it reads in volts the others in mv, plugged in the av board, with power off, sgnd =0, BL DIM=155MV, BL ON=73MV, DET=2.3MV, power on sgnd=18.7mv, bldim=3.31v, blon=182mv, det=3.27v.

tv is not turning all the way on, it gets steady green light, no picture or sound, if unplug cn303 backlights come on with the multi line then solid screen test pattern loop, I think this is protection mode but not sure, thanks for help.

followed testing in manual for 301, says replace av board, this board is the third one shop jimmy sent me, and they swore up and down they were all good, I don't know what to think.

but I did see where other folks were having the same problem and a good av board fixed it.
