    Sanyo DP46849 No Image

I have a Sanyo DP46849 that I recently got from a buddy that replaced it when it stopped working. When I FIRST plugged it in, the image came up and displayed for a minute and then now, when you turn it on, the GREEN LED turns on but thats it. Nothing else. The problem seems similar to this post, but there was no fix... Visually the Caps appear ok. I have a DMM what/where should I test?

The pictures are the highest RES I can do with my camera. If you need closer pics of certain areas I can try that.

We need a good closed up of the connector so we can read the voltage labels on those pins, take pictures at both top and bottom of the board. Right now the standby power supply is working. We are looking for the pin that is labeled with PS_ON, or PWR_ON.

Thanks for the reply. There is a PS_ON/OFF, its the bottom pin on the connector. Here are pics with and without flash.

Its giving me an error with the manage attachments, I put them on photobucket for now.

Sorry I did not read your comment about the error, so look and see if you have 3.3~5vdc on that PS ON pin. You may want to read my guide to get some basic ideas also.

If you are new to this forum, we can help a lot more if you please post clear focused pictures (max resolution 2000x2000 and 2MB) of your boards using the manage attachments button so they are hosted here. Information and picture clarity compositions should look like this post.

We respectfully ask that you make some time and effort to read some of the guides available for basic troubleshooting. After you have read through them, then ask clarification questions or report your findings.

Please do not post inline and offsite as they slow down the loading of pages.

I edited it, I didn't even think about the size restriction, I took the pics in my 1st post with the same camera, some how the resolution changed. Sorry, I edited the original

Is this with you trying to turn the TV on/off? If not, try pressing the power on/off button to see if the voltage changes.

Now we need a clear picture of the main board.

Actually, I just went back to my work bench to take the pics, I guess I left the power button pushed... The TV is working, no joke. I just hooked a PS3 to it and its playing a bluray for about 5 mins now. Maybe I just had a lose wire. I will let it play for a while before I confirm its "fixed"

Well, at least now you know which signal to look for when it stops working again. You may want to take some voltage readings so you will have something to compare with when it stops working.

Is the sequel any good? I bought the first one on blu-ray when it went on sale.

Turned it on this morning, still acting "normal" What voltages should I test just for references?

The sequel is decent (thats on netflix) I liked the 1st one better, personally.

I would get the readings for every pin on CN2 and CN7.
