Hi there again hope some one can help me with this one i have a samsung syncmaster 215tw that the backlight has gone. So i have removed six capacitors to check them with a capacitor meter all caps are made by capxon.
First i checked caps C327 & C328 which both are 1000uf 25v but on test i get 1025uf on one and the other 1018uf. One the next two which is C263 & C261
which are also 1000uf 25v but on test i get 1073uf and 1088uf
and the last cap to test is a 470uf 25v but on test i get 501uf .What i want to know is are all these caps nackered or are they within there tollerences. i will add a pic to show which caps i have tested. Any help appreciated guys thanks again.

They're probably within tolerance *capacitance* wise, but that's not the only measure of capacitor health.
The ESR is very important, especially in modern switchmode circuits.
If it were my monitor, I wouldn't even drag out my ESR meter, I'd just replace them, as they're a known bad brand. I'm not saying that's what's wrong with your monitor, but it could very well be.

If there is no backlight, not even a brief flash, I would check for a fuse in the inverter section of the board (upper half).

Additionally, there my be transistors or mosfets that are shorted.

Your pic is a bit fuzzy. Try to get a more clear one and please post a pic of the backside as well.

Please do not post pictures inline.

Take your boards to a window on a sunny day, turn flash off, and use macro mode. Take a top down view of all your boards (front and back). Make sure the photo is legible so that we can read the PCB printing clearly. A shutter speed of 1/125 or faster will produce nice clear focus pictures. Try to get a photo that is 2000x2000 resolution or as close as possible.

Here is an example of the pictures we want.

If you are new to this forum, we can help a lot more if you please post clear focused pictures (max resolution 2000x2000 and 2MB) of your boards using the manage attachments button so they are hosted here. Information and picture clarity compositions should look like this post.

We respectfully ask that you make some time and effort to read some of the guides available for basic troubleshooting. After you have read through them, then ask clarification questions or report your findings.

Samsung SyncMaster 215TW buzzing / lightning in power board socket
          by nh2
This is my first post here. I just fixed my first 2 broken displays by replacing broken capacitors (Samsung SyncMaster 226BW, and Samsung SyncMaster 213T). But I have a third one I'm unable to fix, and am eager to fix as well:

My Samsung SyncMaster 215TW makes a buzzing / hissing sound when turned on.

The sound is louder the brighter the monitor is, e.g. in the "Game" preset is is even louder than in a softer preset.

Opening up the monitor and unplugging the small socket cables that run from the power board to the LCD, I can see a small blue...

          Samsung QE82Q70RAT no backlight
          by sansanpartida
          Hi everyone!

Hope you're all having a great day, and thank you very much for stopping by and taking the time to read this post to help me with my parents' Samsung TV.

          My issue: No backlight.

          Model: QE82Q70RAT
          Type No: QE82Q70RAT

The TV was already serviced by Samsung once under warranty for the exact same issue, but six months after the fix, the backlight went out again. Now, Samsung is asking for nearly the same price as a brand new TV to fix this with the same 6-month guarantee.

So hopefully, I can fix this cheaper.

Samsung UE60KU6079 backlight okay mainboard responsive, no picture, no sound
          by Ierwin
          Hello everyone,
Ive got a UE60KU6079 on the workbench that is giving me some headaches trying to troubleshoot.
The previous owner stated that there had been white dots on the screen which from the description sounded like some lenses fell of the backlight LEDs.
He had opened the TV from the back, trying to get to the backlight, supposedly gave up, reassebled everything and gave the TV to me.
I expected the worst like ripped COF cables or a cracked panel but could not find anything like that yet.
Anyway I still fully expect that there has been something seriously damaged...

          Samsung BN44-00807E Low Backlight
          by Warrensmith
Symptom is dim backlight - this set came in with almost no backlight.

          Samsung UN55JU6500FX2A

1 - Replaced all backlight LED strips (set had lots of hours at level 20 backlight)
2 - Changed out what appeared to be a bad Q9102C on BN44-00807E - not shorted or burned but appeared to be open. I was able to read (with difficulty) the part number - however I may have misread it - Can someone confirm that this is indeed an AOD9N40.

Backlight improved significantly - about like it would be set to a level 3 or 4. Setting all the way to 20 seems to...
