Install ZSUS for LG 42" Plasma

I have a 42" LG plasma tv (DU-42PX12XC) and am awaiting the arrival of a new zsus model. Watched the repairman remove the back and diagnose the problem so I know this is the part that needs to be replaced. Unfortunately, their charges would total $538 for the part ($395) and labor, so I went on line and located a new part for under half the price. He said he felt I could replace the part my self; however, just wondering if anyone out there can provide me with some instructions of do's and don'ts as I don't want to do something careless. He mentioned needing to ensure I discharge the power before attempting to remove the part and install the new board. I'm pretty mechanically inclined; however, just want to be certain I don't over look something in the installation process. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you,

The first step would be to leave it unplugged while waiting for the Z-sus to arrive. Several manuals will help you. The first is the service manual for that particular chassis. It can be found on Scribd. Google 22076655-LG-DU-42PX12X. You will have to register to download, but it is free and I've never gotten spam that could be attributed to them.

The also have two training manuals for LG TVs, although neither is specifically for your TV. The first is 13287511-Lg-Plasma-Tv-Full-Training-Manual, the second is 7580885-LG-Plasma-TV-Full-Training-Manual. Again, Google them. They are vital, the describe how to disconnect the various connectors. Be very careful, they are fragile.

Can anyone tell me how to release the charge from my LG plasma tv? The repairman said I must release the charge prior to working on the tv or I would get zapped and cause more damage. Thank you.

Seems to me LG recommends waiting 5 minutes after turning it off before connecting or disconnecting any boards. Discharging with thumb and forefinger across the 450 volt caps is NOT recommended.

DRIVER_PNP_WATCHDOG error re. old drivers in Windows 11 install image
          by japlytic
In a Beelink GTR mini PC, mine has an Intel AX200NGW WLAN module.

          Tried (only with keyboard/mouse connected):
          • BIOS + database update
          • Using latest Windows 11 image built with official image creation tool
          • Previous setup version for Windows 11 installer
          • Replacing SSD without a slow block (the previous SSD had a slow block with access time > 500 mS)
          • TPM reset (worked to the point where DRIVER_PNP_WATCHDOG error message is displayed briefly after the point of stalling)
          • Disabling power to WLAN and LAN modules in BIOS (Advanced > AMD PBS > PCI Express Configuration)

A2141 (2019 16" MB Pro) Strange macOS install issues. NAND? WIFI? FIRMWARE?
          by duwane
          Hi All.

Sorry ahead of time for the text wall. This is a strange problem and I have tried to explain it as best I can. I realise this is a hardware forum (mostly), but I am still not sure if this is even a hardware fault! I am hoping that someone more knowledgeable than me in the area of understanding installation logs, or someone that has had a similar issue in the past may have some ideas of what might be causing this.

          The issue:
Unable to do a clean install of any macOS versions supported for this model, even after fully erasing and formatting the internal SSD,...

LG Plasma ZSUS Flashing Screen, No Booting! - 50PB690V
          by reessi
Replaced Zsus beginning of year as most transistors were short stopping tv powering up.

Now screen flashes on off continually and ZSUS ticks. Looking like replacement maybe faulty or could something else cause it to shut down.

If I remove both tabs from ZSUS to screen but keep all other connectors to ZSUS on then TV boots properly but screen very dark without ZSUS output, no ticking from ZSUS. So it only shuts down when under load from screen.

If it is ZSUS then how to fault find, I already looked for shorts. No transistors shorted or caps and its...
