    Lg 32ln570b

Bought this 32" 32LN570B for $20. Had no backlights. I replaced 2 failed LEDs on one of the 3 strips.
Most of the lenses over the LEDs had fallen off and I ended up taking off the others off to test the LEDs. They were very brittle. I had to glue them back on the strip.
I have no idea what the display looked like before I bought it but this is what the backlights look like...It looks like some of the LEDs are glowing more brightly than others. The blotches are not as noticeable when watching a normal pic. Still worth 20 bucks...lol.
The backlight was set to 100%, I set it down as low as I could, around 30%.
    Anyone ever see this before?

You haven't aligned the lenses correctly.

Check those 2 threads, some good direction on proper positioning of lenses.

Didn't know the lenses needed alignment. Thanks I'll check the links for details.

Are these the thick style lenses? I use 5 second fix, glue them with the leds on to make sure they are perfectly centered, put diffuser back temporarily to check, and then uv cure if they are ok.

Cut squares of 4/4 cm matt plastic (from another TV) and stick directly on defocused lenses. Otherwise it is hard to focus.

Yes, thick cut lenses. Funny I just watched a video doing exactly what you suggest...lol. I read some threads discussing the difficulty of getting the lenses focused correctly.
Wouldn't you know this would be the time I didn't document everything with pics. Now I wish I knew the part numbers of the strips. I know there are 7 LEDs per strip. I'm finding sets of 3 on ebay for about $20 so I might just buy a set. I see various combinations marked A1, A2, B1, B2 strips. What's the difference between them and how critical is it to get the combo right? I sent the TVs service code number to LG asking for part numbers but I find most companies aren't very good at responding to their online forms.

You should replace the 3 existing LED strips with new strips. Problem solved.

I recently encountered a 50LN5310 that used these thicker lenses with 3V LEDs. Shopjimmy indicated two different panels and this one was a Heesung panel. Only one LED was shorted but a lot of lenses were about to fall off. In hindsight, I should have reglued them right away matching both lens and orientation but had to redo them a second time because of bright spots. Also, it is better to reflow the LED without removing the strip since it is difficult to remove without popping off every lens.

This may be your part if you want to replace all the strips. https://ebay.us/yUmDa8 or https://ebay.us/8dC46e

I took the panel apart again. The glue is stuck real good, lol, not much point trying to align them so I'll replace the strips. I thought there were 3 strips with 7 leds. Actually there are two with six (type A) and one with seven (type B) leds.
neilc6, thanks for the links. Looks like the ones I have. Going to order a set, Problem solved.

                            Hi there !

I'm having an issue for several weeks with my quite old K70 LUX RGB keyboard. I haven't used it for few months, and once I setup up again my desktop computer, I got several dead LEDs on that keyboard. I tried the Corsair troubleshooting thing (disabling options in iCUE, ...) but nothing changed so I conclude that for some reason some LEDs went in retirement...😅
Decision taken to change these LEDs as I have access to desoldering iron and binocular magnifier, I wrote a ticket to tech support, hopping to obtain the LEDs reference and... They refused to tell me 🙄...

                            by max789
Hello, I have a problem with my Samsung UE48H6410SSXZG with the main board BN41-02156A and the power board BN44-00709A. Everything seemed like this, the TV could no longer be switched on, the standby LED always flashed 5x2 times. Backlight was off and no sound from TV. Also made the flashlight test and there was no picture.

                            I made the following tests:
                            1. Disconnected the main board from Power Board = backlight works.
                            2. Connected the main board and disconnected the T-Con = backlights does not work.

So I ordered a main board from Ebay also BN41-02156A but from...

                            'Morning,
I get sound and picture when powering on the TV and its stays that EXCEPT that the left half of the screen will dim every few seconds then return to normal while the right side of the screen performs as designed.

Did the soft and hard reset options pulling the plug, using the reet option in the vizio menu to no avail.

I checked the mainboard - found some popped capacitors so replaced it - but that did not change the situation.

I checked the t-con board. It is getting good power. Then I removed one ribbon cable to see if I could isolate...

Hi everyone I have this TV which was dead one day when I tried to turn it on. I've had the cover off and there was just a pulsating/electrical clicking/ticking noise from the PSU. I disconnected the mainboard as sometimes this works to just fire it up with backlights on? That didn't help. Same noise. Then I disconnected the backlight cable from the PSU and the TV came alive. It appeared to respond to the remote and i'm pretty sure it's fully operational when there is no backlight connected.

However, I am in a dilemma.

I tested the backlight outputs with the lights disconnected...

So I use this TV daily as a second monitor for my PC or my Playstation - at one point a few months back I tried to fix the problem - but in the process, I figured out something that works so I haven't posted this for awhile. It is an annoying trick to have to do though, so I decided to post about it to see if anyone could spot what's wrong. It baffles me because it works on it's own half the time.

When I first got this TV, I was told it wouldn't turn on, and of course I did the flashlight test, and the image was there. Also, the red LED on the front indicated that it had power (it...
