Goot (Taiyo Electric) is fine. Even the entry-level Goot without temperature control works fine and the ceramic tip lasts a long, long time - mine is now in its 5th year.

        PX-251AS/12 is like $80-90
        http://www.bomir.com/online/?module=category&id=124
need at least sponge, stand is good also so no accidents, burnt carpets. so like $15 for the stand
it says 70w so if thats accurate then should be nice

they have other stuff as well, if its 60w and above 450oC should be nice for recapping.

need other tips probably. i see they come with like PX-2RT-B which looks to be a conical 0.5mm. For recapping really need PX-2RT-2D 2mm chisel. Personally i would get a second PX-2RT-2D 2mm chisel also or larger and keep one for recapping, keep it nice and pristine and then the other can be used for general electrical work and making cables etc when it will get shitty.

i think its good to get temperature controlled cos for recapping need like 450oC for desoldering but for good soldering and especially with some parts should be at 350oC. any other setting, never used it.

lead free? hmm dont know much about that

these irons are best i've seen: usually they make heating element and tip too long.
here it looks short enough to be extremely precise.

i wish they have distributor here...
