I've sifted through many posts about the exact same model TV with the exact same problem, but I haven't found any that have answered my questions. The ones that kind of get to my questions never have any follow up to see if the problem was corrected.
My problem is the very typical, 2 seconds to black. I've used a flashlight to confirm that there is a picture, it's just not back lit. I have two years of part time Electrical engineering classes taken about three years ago, but it was mostly theory with a little elementary circuit building. I have a lot of tools, but no ESR meter.
In a nutshell, I'm broke. I got this TV for a few bucks and I'd like to refrain from changing out boards that don't need changing. I am not near the TV right now to post pics, but I can get pics from another post that I found with the exact same boards as I have. Even the same REV levels. From what I've read here, the problem is likely bad inverter board(s), but may be CCFL(s), the T-Con board, or even the main board. With that said, I've also read here that bad CCFL's would likely show as a color issue, and a bad T-con board would have no picture at all.
At this point, I have probed all of the outputs on the PSU and verified the voltages printed on the boards.
Following this thread, I have probed the transformers on the inverter boards but I'm either not probing it right, or all four transformers are dead. This thread by the way is about the same TV, as is the next. The boards are the same as mine.

I've downloaded the service manual for this TV, but I could use some guidance. Is it possible to test the individual parts to find the fault?
