    acer v5-531 no power need some help guys..

    hello everyone. hope u could help

    i got this laptop no power

    i found out there is shorted line goes to charging IC PU4003.

    pin 1 2 is shorted to ground.

    pls see attach file for more info tnx.

    i found mosfets PU4001 and PU4002 that gets hot upon pluging ac adapter.

    try to remove and test but it still shorted line.

    try to check some caps along the line remove and test but it still shorted line

    tried to removed PR4004 between line of mosfet PU4001 and PU4002

    and i got shorted line gone from PU4001 to PR4001 but PU4002 to Pr4001 is still shorted.

    tried to trace shorted parts on PU4002 line. no luck everything remove from this line.

    any idea guys tnx.

    Wtf is that kok& balz drawing?
    So. Short right side on BT+.
    What pins are short if you lift pu4002?
    Just cook it! It's already broken.

      Get your self a bench power supply and see what gets hot and pc4005/pc4025/pc400 check for short .

        yes that right BT+ is short..

        pin 123 is short even i lift pu4002

          No. If only 1.2.3 shorted b+ its ok.

          Then its local near ic.
          All with green they are off right?
          Take out pd4003, pu4004 and pu4005(pin1,2,3 its connected to ground)
          Just cook it! It's already broken.

            PU4004 only pin 5678 shorted to ground

            PU4005 only pin 123 shorted to ground

                  Ok.
                  Short on pu4004.

                  From the fet pu4004 to dcbatout point you got 3 caps. Take them out if pads shorted we go further.

                  Post the diagram where is dcbatout coming from.
                  Just cook it! It's already broken.
