    Forget it.
I'm under the impression now that I'm being pressured to simply remove the creative card out of the equation and use something else.

Pfft, stubborn? People with your attitude really frustrate me. If someone's trying to help, humour them.

I removed my Audigy to figure out if it was the cause of audio lag and haven't put it back in yet... Windows 7 seems to just have issues with audio, same issue occurs on my MacBook Pro.

I, for one, have no beef with Creative Labs or their products. I have used their products almost exclusively in every computer I've owned, since the Soundblaster 1.5 in my first 386SX25 up to the current i7 920 with an X-Fi.
Have always been pleased with them. For gaming, there's no substitute for EAX. But they want their own IRQ. As long as they have it, they'll behave.

Medion Erazer beast x25 freezes and resets only at low CPU usage

Medion Erazer beast x25 62307 MSN 30031969 GM5ZGXW AMD version

Hello. The laptop freezes and resets only at low CPU usage, practically at IDLE after a few minutes. There is no problem under a load, and I benchmarked it for over an hour. I noticed that one of the CPU coils was making whining noise at low CPU usage. I previously thought it was a BIOS problem, but updated BIOS and no change. I'm thinking of changing the CPU DrMos'es there are 5 of them all together. I have already swapped the DrMOSes first one with the last one (I desoldered them and soldered in swapping DrMos no.1 with...

10-character number and 4-characters string on USB Standard-A, "male" plug? Meaning and usage?
          by ADATA_C008/16GB
I bought "ADATA C008 / 16GB" USB Flash Drive yesterday, and I'm curious about meaning and usage of this 10-characters number and 4-charatcer string on USB Standard-A, "male" plug.

Panasonic LED TV TC-40A420U - Replaced Backlight LEDs but now no image/display or garbled
          by signal.quest
I have a Panasonic LED TV TC-40A420U. The TV was given to me as an attempt to fix or throw out. I replaced the Backlight LEDs and now the screen lights up, but there is no image/display. If I play with the up/down buttons I can get the display to change from black to garbled. I can't get sound from HDMI but not sure of what input is selected. I have no remote control. When I connect a laptop to the HDMI ports it recognizes a Panasonic TV for display and sound output but I can't see or hear anything through the TV. This makes me think the mainboard is OK, but not sure if mainboard can...

Samsung UN65NU6950 edge lit TV LED bar after 10k usage hours
          by howardc64
Edge lit LED TV has 1/4 section backlight out. Replaced the LED bars and sharing the findings on the original 10k hour LED bar.

These are 6V LEDS (reads ~5.4+ on my LED tester) New bars read about 147V per 1/2 of each bar. Clearly original LED bar has some problems
          • One section is 153v with a dead LED so clearly built up resistance
          • One section flickers but magically fixed itself after driving individual LEDs. All done with an LED tester so don't know if would work driven by PSU backlight circuit and how long it would last
          • Connector pin to test pad resistance is nearly 0 ohms.

Samsung Curved monitor C27FG70FQU with garbled vertical lines on startup
          by jackster
I acquired a faulty curved Samsung C27FG70FQU which has the quite common problem of just showing weird vertical lines for a while after a cold boot.

The issue is pretty bad with this one and it takes about 15 minutes before things normalize and a proper image is displayed. Once a proper image is shown it will work 100% until the display is shut down or put in standby for a while and allowed to cool for a bit.

Even though this seems to be a quite common issue I haven't really found any information regarding what the root cause is and how to fix it. There is this video...
