This is getting out of hand. I found a pink x401a in the bag and despite the screen being cracked to hell, I was able to verify it's doing the same thing. Does our house have some kind of interference, cause I plugged it in a different outlet on the other side of the house and still the same phantom mouse movement. One x401a years ago and now, two that are the same. Same problem. No discernable answer then. Not one now

wanna try something interesting?

connect a nice resistor - something in the megohm range, between mains-earth and ground on the laptop.
maybe the shell of the usb port for example.
