    Mac Pro 2009 ipgrade 4.1 to 5.1

    Hi

I i've got a MacPro 2009 with 4.1 firmware. As to use a CPU six core, i must to upgrade the firmware from 4.1 to 5.1.

I've tried to exchange the bios by using a 5.1 bios from another machine, it's working fine but the fan goes to max (the machine don't recognize the CPU fan)

Maybe i need to exchange SMC too...?

I know that exist a special tool that solve this problem, but this tool we can find only on netkas.org web site.

This web site is down so i ask if anyone can help me on this.

    Thanks and best regards
    Luca

Usually when the fan reaches its maximum on the Apple notebook, it is necessary to check all the connections of the temperature sensors. To get around this problem there is a tool, but now I don't remember where download it. I have it in my lab but next Monday. However, it is possible that the problem depends, as you said, on other causes. What processor mounts, are you sure it's a 6 core?

        Hello to everyone ,

Anker SoundCore 2 Bluetooth Speaker Turns Off After a Few Seconds (Possibly Firmware Issue?)
        by zklgfs
        Hi,

I have an Anker SoundCore 2 (A3105) that I saved from the trash (well, I guess there's a reason why it was supposed to go into the trash...). The problem is that it always turns off after a few seconds (sometimes it stays on a bit longer, between 30 and 60 seconds, but it still turns off). The power light turns on and the bluetooth light starts blinking, but both abruptly turn off again. The "turn off sound" is still played after the lights turn off. Sometimes, it also loops the on-off cycle several times without me pressing any buttons. If I connect an AUX cable, music...

        Ubiquiti firmware help. US-8-150W POE
        by gurj1979
        Hi guys.

I've got a Ubiquiti US-8-150W POE switch which has issues with updating the firmware.
Turned out to be a bad EEPROM chip. It would read the firmware and work as normal, but failed to write new firmware to it.

So I took off the chip and read on EEPROM and saved it. Wrote to old chip and failed to write
Got New chip and writes good.

        THE PROBLEM...
It fails to fully load the firmware, POE lights fail to work during g firmware test during load. I'm suspecting bad EEPROM Read.

Does anyone have a Good Firmware I can have?...
