    Re: xp pro iso

Yes, I meant Dell ISO XP Pro installer that installs on Dell office machines without need to keying in the COA. This works on HP that I have using HP's COA key that was on it.

    Just think about it.

    Cheers, Wizard

      Re: xp pro iso

So its just unattended install and then it lets you change the key when its all done? Might look into that. I was actually going to make an XP pro with a bunch of drivers and common apps to save time. Right now I only have the settings configured and all the updates... the easy stuff. Firefox and the like are a little bit harder to integrate.

Ratdude, you could have pirated XP by now and been done with it. VLK + Latest WGA patch and you would have been done. Nobody is going to audit your home machines. It doubly doesn't matter since you HAVE a COA on the machine. You would only be violating the EULA and last time I heard what microsoft writes isn't law.

never mind, an sp1 disc fixed it. its happy with a COA.

besides, hacks and cracks are both illegal and virus filled. not what i want since phishing is what brought me here in the first place.

Illegal under what? If you buy a game and use a no-cd crack its not illegal. Anything you have a license for you can do with as you please. Violating license agreements would only be a civil matter. Distributing cracks and pirated software is actually illegal. Up until all of the copyright nastiness it was still a civil matter.

As for being virus filled... it depends. Most people into pirating software are into computers and can spot trojans from a mile away. If a group releases a virused crack/keygen they become a joke. The only time you get viruses is when some asshole repackages a release. These usually get spotted fairly quickly and commented on or nuked.

                Re: xp pro iso

You have a license. Its neither theft nor a patent violation. It is criminal or civil copyright infringement depending on what you do.

Linux is better.... except when you want to do pro video editing, which it can't.

I know about kino. I'm talking stuff more like Avid not stuff like windows movie maker.

Blender is good for 3d stuff. Wine + HD won't end well.

i wouldn't even try linux for video because i know most things i use have no linux equivalents...
                          ie avisynth and vdub...

emulation(wine) is out of question, it's slow as it is.

so one more ++ for nxb today.
