    Help with InkScape

    Hello!

    Does anyone use InkScape?

I drew some rectangles and coloured them in. They represent wires.

I'm trying to add stripes now, but I am struggling.

I drew an orange diagonal line, but it goes through my rectangle's border. The erase tool doesn't seem to be working the way I want it too.

I was hoping someone had some experience and could show me how to do this.

I've attached a screenshot. I want the orange that is to the right of the black vertical line to be erased. I just want the orange line where the white background is, and no wheres else.

    Any ideas? Thanks!

    Re: Help with InkScape

I think I figured it out somehow. Instead of one big line, I drew three smaller lines to make a big line. For some reason, it's now not going through the black. Then I just move the black lines to the first layer and it's good.

Now if I can find a way to copy all the orange lines at once, so I can just paste them onto the other "wires", I'd be all set!

Samsung UN50TU8000FXZC shows thin horizontal green line when warm

      Hi to all,

I was given this TV, an entry-level 4K 50" set. Some have criticized its lack of contrast and relatively poor colour rendering, but for my needs, it's very decent.

I reset everything to factory settings, but this line keeps on fading in and out when watching a streaming channel from the Tizen firmware. Interestingly, it only happens when TV is warm, after about 1h45 of it being turned on.

Watching a movie from an external source doesn't trigger the line as easily (needs 2 hours), and from a normal viewing distance, is hardly noticeable. It...

Vizio E701i-A3 fixed but now has red vertical line
      by otaku_nut
Hi all, I tried searching the site for answers but I'm a bit over my head understanding some of what might apply and what doesn't, so please be patient with me. I used Freakaftr8's fix to remove the left driver board to restore picture to a black screen with sound Vizio E701i-A3. After doing so, I now have a large red vertical stripe down the center of the screen. The fix did require getting another t-con board from online, I ordered it before I knew about the mosfit fix for the old t-con board. I have tried cleaning the cable connections to the t-con board. I swapped the cables going from...

Strange! Acer laptop not powering on but charging the battery (orange light on when charger and battery plugged in).
      by serious_electron
      Hello Everyone!

I have an Acer Aspire A315-42 laptop. I generally leave it on for long time by closing down its lid (so it enters the sleep mode). Recently, it rained quite heavily in out area. And the humidity and moisture seem to be high. So one late evening, after I opened the lid and turned on the laptop, it did power on as the blue light turned on but after it booted to the desktop screen, just 5-10 seconds after both the screen and blue light went out and laptop shut down (the blue power light turned orange). And after 2-4 seconds that orange light went off and the laptop died.

      Kogan - KALED65XU9220STB - Blue Vertical Line
      by TrueSword88
      Hi all.

I have a Kogan 65' LCD Panel with a thin blue vertical line (top to bottom) on left hand side of panel.
The line just happens to coincide with the end of COF and start of the next COF (attached).

The line is permanent no matter what I've tried. I've tried pressure testing the panel (top to bottom) and all over, I didn't notice any difference with the line, either temporary or semi-permanent.

Also tried unplugging all flex cables, cleaned with isopropyl then re-inserting to no avail - line remains.

      Hoping to fix...

Running Line Voltage and Integrating LED Pods - Automotive
      by FALKLAN
Howdy everyone! I hope all is well where ever you are!

I'm attempting to integrate a couple of LED pods into an automotive reverse lamp circuit. The problem being, while the vehicle is running there is a 8.5v current present on the reverse lamp power wire. Needless to say is that all LED pods and lights dimly illuminate while the 8.5v is present, so the LEDs are always powered on while the vehicle is running. When the vehicle is shifted into reverse, the voltage changes to 12 volts.

I am uncertain how to convert this line into a switched 12v output line for the LED pods....
