See, you can learn something new every day.

BTW, I don't know about your users, by mine would lynch me if they had to run on a 1.0 GHz machine and 512 ram. I dunno about where you are, but here we open multiple files and use antivirus on our machines. AV alone consumes 100+ MB.

My wife is using a 2.8 and hates it, because it isn't fast enough for what she wants to do.

      "amd" ddr2...

So what's with the "AMD" DDR2?

My (Intel) board "officially" supports 4G DDR2's (four slots, 16G total) but this "AMD" deal is kind of scary recalling back to the old SDRAM deal. In fact I have a few 512M SDRAM modules now but they don't work in my 440BX board, which is too bad, would rather run this board with 2GB RAM through its four slots, else have to use the VIA boards with only 3 slots is the best I can otherwise do.

But anyway I heard these "AMD" DDR2 still "work" on an Intel board but cannot clock at PC6400...

Samsung QE55Q65B with shorted D001 diodes on panel board: Worth saving or not
      by madyoyo
      Hi

I have a Samsung QE55Q65B with a seemingly common problem: it turn off and back on after a few seconds, (sometimes more, and in rare instances works for hours). D001 on the left side of the panel is very hot. I may be able to remove it with a very fine iron, but i don't have the equipment to re-solder such small parts.

Is there a risk to run the tv without this diodes diodes? And is it worth to pay someone else to replace it. I read many people who ended up with bad lines after trying to remove/replace them, , or the panel failing in another way, so i want to weight...
