    Asus support...still crappy?

I've had few asus products go south on me within warranty, but my $1000 rog laptop was not expected. I've already rmad it and its on its way back. Question, has anyone here EVER recouped shipping from asus? Cause this was $33 to ship and my further emails to them are going unanswered. Here is the thread on the asus rog forum. I do have prepaid legal who are willing to send legal letters for free, that might scare them into doing something. Of course if it comes back with the same problem I won't be sending I back for another $33, I will be getting my money back, money or blood, no other option.

I wouldn't buy an Asus with your money.... I had an asus dual P3 board go bad while under warranty (yea, its been that long ago)....I'd have been better off just buying a new one. Their hoops + the time it took + I had to pay the shipping.....ripped off.

If you want business class warranty and support pay for it and get an HP or a Dell.

HP? Hah, I've seen too many HP ProDesk/EliteBook/ProBook computers with failed motherboards and their consumer grade is even more shit.

I wasn't suggesting HP as more reliable, more that if you want next day on site business support it is available. But you have to pay for it.

Yeah, thier laptops used to be well build but some of their later models have issues (shitty keyboards that are integrated in the palmrest, etc.). You won't see your $33 back. At least they didn't tell you to buy a new one.

Yeah I just got screwed by cl-Albert on the rog forums. He suggested asking for a shipping label first.

Yeah I didnt get my money back. I have gotten the laptop back and they took my unactivated win 10 mbr install and somehow activated it and converted it to uefi without uninstalling or wiping the games I had. All the drivers and software I had installed were still there and intact.

The sheet says the did replace the motherboard, and so far no sudden sleep episodes (hm, like...computer epilepsy?)

I gotten word that it's not typical for an ROG'er to get screwed like plain Jane Asus users do...

I at least gotten word that ROG treats their customers well...
