Problems installing a UEFI OS on a UEFI-supported system?

Try a BIOS update (if changing relevant BIOS settings do not fix the problem).
When I was trying to boot from a 64-bit Windows 7 installation DVD when the UEFI boot option was selected (Gigabyte GA-Z77M-D3H-MVP), the system hanged partway during the Windows logo animation, which this animation occurs after booting from the installation DVD.
I then tried updating the BIOS to the latest available version, and this was enough to enable me to install Windows 7 under UEFI boot mode (during all parts of installation and boots OK when fully installed under UEFI mode) , which I then subsequently upgraded to Windows 10 without problems.
My first choice in quality Japanese electrolytics is Nippon Chemi-Con, which has been in business since 1931... the quality of electronics is dependent on the quality of the electrolytics.
