Ebay guy in china didn't want to go down on price at all (best offer my ass)... and at $37 a pop I honestly ain't feeling it. Now, if I happened to have one (or a donor laptop with one) it would be different... but I'm a cheap tinkerer.

It's posts like this that make me glad I removed my BCN mod stint from my resume. I actually did list it, as I once met an engineer who was legitimately impressed that I had an existence on BCN. No joke!

(In reality, I removed it due to the fact that I have a few too many skeletons in the closet around here, ugh).

Yes I probably do regret too much. It's like PTSD almost, only it's various stupid things I've done in my life. Every failure seems to follow me no matter what I do to try to move past. Pretty annoying IMHO.

I think, once it's legal, and you can get a prescription and won't get fired from it...you would be a prime candidate for medial cannabis

Yeah, but I don't see how that would work for anxiety. I know the other thing besides THC works wonder for a lot of things, but I don't think my case is one of them.

THCA/CBD in the right combinations can do wonders for anxiety. Cannabis has hundreds of different chemicals, we're just beginning to unlock them. You say you have PTSD-like symptoms, Cannabis is known to help. Many other things too

IIRC my HDD isn't one of the crap ones.

Most of the cheap SSDs I see aren't intel... they're some brand with a sketchy reputation. I don't run shitty parts. I just don't.

I dunno if the Momentus 7200.4s are any better. I came across a similar, if not the same HDD series and they seem prone to having bad boards.
(With SMART reporting strange health issues, especially CRC errors or stuff not directly related to platter or head)
